La vita è come una corda, intrecciata di legami che si formano, nodi che si stringono, diventano parte di noi. Alcuni legami sono così forti da sembrare indissolubili, altri, con il tempo, si allentano, si sciolgono. Ma ogni nodo, anche sciolto, lascia un’impronta. La corda conserva memoria del nodo, un segno sottile, come un ricordo inciso nella mente e nel cuore.
La solitudine arriva a volte, quando i legami si spezzano o si allentano, portando malinconia. Eppure, è il mistero di questi legami – forti, sciolti, perduti – a tessere il senso della vita.

My mother Maria passed away on Sunday, October 26, at 2:22 p.m. I was holding her hand when she left.
Beside her are my father, who died in December 2002, and my little brother Andreas, who passed away at the age of two and a half in the late 1960s.
My father set up the camera — I only pressed the shutter.
Now they are together again, at peace, where the circle gently closes.

Meine Mutter Maria ist am Sonntag, dem 26.10., um 14:22 Uhr verstorben. Ich hielt ihre Hand, als sie nach Hause ging.
Neben ihr sind mein Vater, der im Dezember 2002 gestorben ist, und mein kleiner Bruder Andreas, der in den späten 1960er Jahren mit zweieinhalb verstarb.
Mein Vater richtete die Kamera ein – ich habe nur den Auslöser gedrückt.
Jetzt sind sie wieder vereint, in Frieden, wo sich der Kreis sanft schließt.
