After a few weeks of just pure ridiculous drama.. This is my way of already saying #sorrynotsorry for what happens next!

Yesterday’s figures show a further fall in the number of deaths from COVID-19 and a fall in the number of patients that have contracted the virus that are being cared for in Belgian hospitals. Only 67 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospital and 56 deaths have been reported. The biggest news event yesterday was the partially reopening of the schools. A big day for many thousands of schoolchildren who are returning to school for the first time since 13 March. Stepping into the post-corona future everybody is preparing themselves in their way for making the next normal work – Koopvaardijlaan, Ghent, Belgium.
7 June 2021: I received my first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine on 14 May, and I must wait for my second dose of the vaccine until 6 August (12 weeks). Previously it was decided that people that were given their first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine after 31 May will receive their second dose of the vaccine 8 weeks later. One of the reasons for initially setting the interval between the first and second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at 12 weeks were fears that insufficient supplies of the vaccine would be available. Since 862,400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are expected during the first three weeks of July this should no longer be an issue. Therefore, I’m hoping that my waiting time will be shortened and that I’ll get my second jab in the first half of July. Let’s cross fingers… Meanwhile, the corona figures show further significant falls. There are currently 979 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 336 are on intensive care wards. The last time that the number of COVID-19 patients in Belgian hospitals was under 1,000 was exactly 8 months ago on 6 October 2020. During the week from 28 to 3 June an average of 1,474 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 20% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate dropped to 0.41 and the reproductive rate continues to stand at 0.87. Last, the figures on the vaccination campaign show that a new milestone was reached on Saturday 5 June. More than 5 million people in Belgium have received at least 1 dose of coronavirus vaccine – Ghent, Belgium.

9 November 2020: Update on The Corona Pandemic – As the number of new Covid-19 patients admitted to hospital continues to decrease slowly, the pressure on intensive care units continues to climb, and the number of deaths is still rising sharply. The reproduction rate now stands at 0.94, down from 0.99 yesterday. With an incidence rate of 1,333 coronavirus cases Belgium is no longer the worst European country but we are still coloring dark red on the map of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). As a reference, Finland with 53 coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants, is at the very bottom of the list. Meanwhile, in the US some republicans and Trump aids are coming to grips with the reality of a loss whilst others are encouraging him to battle the election result until the bitter end. No matter how hard Joe Biden is trying to reunite the country I’m afraid it’s going to be a shitshow until Trump is out of the office. The mural I found at the old cement factory reflects well the two faces the US will be confronted with in the months to come – Dok Noord, Ghent, Belgium.
This skateboard and boardshop was destroyed by fire end 2021. The shop owners invited Nigel Leirens, a Belgian street artist to brighten up the burned down building and to refer customers to a pop-up just 200 m down the road – Nederkouter, Ghent, Belgium.
Patient, kind, loving, wise, and intelligent. She values moments of silence and stillness. She dissects the world around her with such clarity that she often leaves me speechless. She faces challenges not without fear but through the fear with a quiet determination and drive that often takes me off guard.
And as I watch her in moments like these, I still have this overwhelming sense of awe that she is mine. She is nothing like me, but I love absolutely everything that she is.

11 November 2020: Update on The Corona Pandemic – The Belgian figures for infections and hospitalisations are encouraging. Whilst the pressure on the ICU units increased slightly - 1,474 Covid patients are receiving critical care - the number of infections and hospital admissions continue to go down. This in addition with the news that Pfizer and BioNTech are developing a vaccine that in tests is proving to protect 90% of those inoculated has raised hopes of a speedy return to the old normal. Experts, however, are warning that still a lot needs to happen before we can consider a relaxation of the lockdown measures. The vaccine still needs to be approved and it’s going to take time before enough people are vaccinated to impact the spread of the virus. Pfizer will need a whole year to meet their goal of 1.3 million doses. As you need two doses per person you can inoculate 650 million people with this first batch. The world population is ten times that. Hence, more will be needed than this sole vaccine before we can go back to our normal lives. Everybody seems to be in agreement that after the first wave we reopened society a bit too enthusiastically and the authorities, rightfully, intend to be stricter this time round. The Corona measures will be re-examined on 1 December, but the government is refusing to be drawn on relaxations ahead of Christmas. “First we need to reach a safe port. Circulation of the virus must be limited as much as possible ahead of relaxations” Belgian health minister Frank Vandenbroucke stated. Net-net, hoping for a traditional Xmas is a fantasy just like the mural of Cee Pil, an artist renowned for his graffiti art and groundbreaking murals – Oude Dokken, Ghent, Belgium.
2 June 2021: The corona figures continue to fall. There are currently 1,232 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 438 are on intensive care wards. During the week from 23 to 29 May an average of 1,739 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 28% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate is 0.47 and the reproductive rate for currently stands at 0.82. Even the more skeptical virologists are upbeat about the trend. They are anticipating that at this rate there will be fewer than 400 patients on ICUs and by mid-June this could be even fewer than 300. For this happy giant the sky is the limit… Oude Houtlei, Ghent, Belgium
3 June 2021: The pressure on the healthcare system eases further. There are currently 1,161 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 403 are on intensive care wards. During the week from 24 to 30 May an average of 1,715 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 29% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate is 0.46 and the reproductive rate currently stands at 0.86. Tomorrow the government is expected to give the official go-ahead for the first phase of the summer plan that will go into force from 9 June and will allow the indoor areas of the hospitality industry and several other businesses, such as gyms and cinemas, to reopen. Additionally, tomorrow we will also be informed about the modalities for the ‘Digital Covid Certificate’ for tree travel within the EU during the pandemic. In summary, all’s well and on top of that Roa started working on a new mural downtown Ghent. The world-famous street artist is primarily known for his strong obsession for animals and rodents – Oude Houtlei, Ghent, Belgium

Deadpool. I'll be honest, Fantastic movie (Can't wait for Deadpool 2!), great character... but not my favourite. He'd be fairly low on my list of top Marvel characters, but that doesn't stop him being a fantastic and hilarious character. Loved the movie, Ryan Reynold's was fantastic in it, and was really born to play Deadpool. But yeah, I like other heros a bunch more #sorrynotsorry. I have read a few Deadpool comics and enjoyed them, but same deal, not as much as say a Daredevil or Avengers comic.
I actually built the Zamboni and parts of this diorama a few months after the 1st Deadpool movie came out, but I wasn't totally happy with it. Ice-Hockey rinks aren't all that exciting to build, and I wasn't really making the diorama for myself, I was doing it because someone asked me to and my heart wasn't really in it, so I ended up scraping it. See for me I have to want to build something, and be doing it for fun and for me. The past versions of this MOC became too much about pleasing others, and what they may think of the build, and less about whether or not I was having fun. So in that sense this was a cool learning curve for me. Anyway I had the Zamboni basically still together for a bit and decided, that it's just sitting here, maybe I will revisit the diorama... So I did, and this time I built it for myself, and had a lot of fun putting it together. So go me.
Oh and yes the hockey sticker are official Lego parts from the old Technic hockey sets. It's funny I wanted that back 'wall' to have more to it, but Hockey Stadium 'walls' or 'barriers' (What are those called?) Are surprisingly simple and plan, so I couldn't really do much to it. Still overall fairly happy with the MOC as a whole :)

Today all non-essential businesses restart their activities, hospitals are resuming non-urgent appointments and public transport resumes its normal timetable. The falling trend is continuing and the number of patients in critical care is under 700. 77 patients have been hospitalized according to yesterday's report. The total number of people in hospital with the disease is down to 3,056. The crisis center also reported 79 fatalities, bringing the total number to 7,844. In the coming days the focus will be on the roll out of testing and the tracing of infections. We are looking forward to the new phase of the lockdown with concern and excitement. Today’s picture is from yesterday’s outing, it was my second visit to the Valhalla of graffiti at the Dok Noord – Dok Noord, Ghent, Belgium
Dont you ever wish you could see through it? Understand what you see?
But perhaps, the beauty lies in the not understanding. In wondering, looking, observing, in the curiosity.
Maybe we are not supposed to understand everything, only that we dont understand anything. I dont know. Because i dont know anything.
Uhm, welcome to my twisted brain. This is a really kind of old photo.. *and its kind of craapy, sorrynotsorry*.. But i lack enthusiasm in photographing when its dark and it snows and i have problems with my iphoto (all my photos are gone.... Temporarily but still) so yeah..
Uhm, yes. I bought a new dollie yesterday. She has not been shipped yet, but... My first bjd! Cant wait :D)))
she will come at this holiday sometime... sdnkjafghj
So yeah -im kind of inactive but i actually check your photostreams and stuff i just dont post anything..
Im doing a lot with my school and new schools after i 'graduate' from my elementary school *dont know your system* and my future and stuff so im kind of exhausted very often after school.
Hope you are doing great!
Im kind of better. I think it will be better on my next school.. In like, one and a half year. Wow. Its all so close and so unrealistic. Im turning fifteen this year, i mean, what?
Yesterday it was announced that on Saturday 392 people were admitted to hospital and that 477 patients were discharged. There are currently 5,353 people in hospital with coronavirus symptoms, of whom 1,223 are in intensive care. The total number of people in hospital has fallen by 282 in a day. The number in intensive care is down by 39 over the same period. So far 6,463 people have been discharged from hospital and made a full recovery. Unfortunately, also 268 new fatalities were reported, bringing the total to 3,600 since the outbreak began. Despite the gloom and doom of the corona crisis I continue with my corona walks in search of moments to remember - Werregarenstraat, Ghent, Belgium
The numbers released yesterday continue to fall: 43 people have been hospitalised with COVID-19 and 65 people were reported to have died. Whilst we seem to start gaining control over the virus the economical fallout becomes more visible. Since the coronavirus lockdown began a lot of small business have been struggling to survive. The hospitality and entertainment business felt the most immediate impact from the crisis. Yesterday’s biggest news was that also Brussels Airlines was reorganizing and shedding jobs in order to ensure its future viability: the airline staff will be downsized with 25%, 10 of the airline's 48 aircrafts will be decommissioned and all routes that are unprofitable or barely profitable will be scrapped. Wondering how all of this will impact our personal lives I continued with my daily corona walks searching for street-art to cheer me up – Baudelopark, Ghent, Belgium.
"The figures are evolving in a positive way, the virus is getting tired,” said Van Gucht, one of Belgium’s lead virologists. Mainly the declining figures of people newly admitted to the hospital makes us all cautiously hopeful. Yesterday it was announced that 224 new patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of people in hospital to 5,536. Of the patients in the hospital, 1,223 are in the intensive care unit, which is a decrease of 11 patients. Unfortunately, also 262 new deaths have been reported, of which 171 occurred in residential care centres, meaning they were people suspected of being infected. The total number of deaths in Belgium since the beginning of the pandemic is currently 4,157. Hoping that the worst is over I continue my corona walks snapping my way across a locked down Ghent, capturing life as it unfolds before my eyes – Predikherenlei, Ghent, Belgium
' So for the first theme we had to make album covers! We were initally a little uninspired but then we decided on a tribal theme for our album cover! Together we are indie pop duo 'Eternal Wolf' with out album ' T R I B E' Hope you like it and we get a good placing this week' Mia and Chanelle xoxo
So I decided to use handmade clothes for this shoot, I've been using them a lot recently #sorrynotsorry. I'm in two minds about this shot as It's the first time I've edited make-up like this before so I'm kinda worried you guys might think its rubbish!xD
The Covid-statistics have improved drastically over the past days and the number of patients in hospitals dipped below 2,000 for the first time in seven weeks. Still, 81 patients were taken to hospital over the past 24 hours, with 60 new deaths being reported. Two news events got my attention yesterday. Pieter de Crem, Belgium’s Interior Minister, said that borders can be opened if two countries are more or less on the same pathway where the exit strategy and Covid statistics are concerned and that most likely the Netherlands will have the best chance to be the first country that we can freely travel to. The other, more trivial news event was that the monks of the Saint Sixtus Abbey in Westvleteren will resume the sales of their world-famous trappist beer. Beer enthusiasts will have to make an online order first and pick up the crates at the abbey gate. Something to consider? Anyhow, I’m seeing happy faces pupping up throughout the city… Westerringspoorbrug, Ghent, Belgium
12 September 2020: This morning’s frontpage news: “Belgium is recording a rapid rise in the number of new coronavirus infections”. The country’s reproduction number is currently 1,25… This means that one infected person infects more than one other person, and that the epidemic is growing again. Clearly, the virus has not disappeared from our country. To cheer me up I restarted with my corona walks in search for murals throughout Ghent. I found a new mural at the back of the “Handelsbeurs”, a historical building in the center of the city that has been converted into a concert hall. The mural is done by the Monkey Bird Crew, a French duo, and displays musical instruments played during the period that Hubert and Jan van Eyck painted the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb – Ghent, Belgium

What a roller-coaster year this was!
2024 tested me almost to the limit, bringing the incredibly good and the painfully bad, sometimes, hand in hand.
Still, I am very thankful. There was so much Music in my life! I am, of course, blaming our AleyKat for that.
I always, always look at the bright side of life (the tune is in your head now, isn't it? #sorrynotsorry), and this year brought me even closer to some dear friends, offered me brand new friendships that I treasure deeply, and got me jumping excitedly, screaming at the top of my lungs with pure joy, when I got to know that I had been accepted as a Blogger for JIAN and CandyDoll. 😊
Spread the love, my friends. Spread kindness. Take care of yourself. Take care of others when you can. I have Hope. 💗

111 corona deaths were reported yesterday, this is the lowest daily death toll in a month. A further 178 people were hospitalised and 293 patients were discharged. The numbers keep moving in the right direction. In addition, it’s now official the first phase of our exit plan from the corona lockdown starts on Monday. During the first phase businesses in non-essential sectors will return to work if certain conditions are met and mouth masks need to be worn in all places where 1.5m social distancing is not feasible (i.e. public transportation, shops, etc.). Despite this positive news the traditional 1 May celebrations will for all of us be rather different and in the coming weeks thousands of people will continue to fight the ramifications of the crisis, each in their own field. We still have a long way to go… Today’s picture was taken on a walk in search for street art… Stay safe, stay healthy! – Ghent, Belgium.
The news continue to be very grim… The death toll reported yesterday surged to 496 as 171 deaths that took place “in the preceding weeks” were only now being added to the total death count that now stands at 3,019. Nursing home residents account for nearly half of Belgium’s total coronavirus deaths. Also, the government reported yesterday that 462 new patients were admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours, and that 404 new people have been discharged. This brings the total number of people in hospital to 5,610. The coming days promise to continue to be sunny, and even summery and whilst many people continue to practice physical activities outdoors researchers at KU Leuven and at the Eindhoven University of Technology created simulations showing how those working out outdoors could be exposing themselves to the virus even when staying 1.5 metres apart. The simulations showed that the slipstreams between two people jogging behind one another were likely to see the second person come into contact with the first’s droplets as they travelled through the slipstream that can sometimes be as long as 10 to 15 metres. I nevertheless will continue walking and exploring Ghent’s street art hotspots but now at a slower pace…:-) De Nieuwe Dokken, Ghent, Belgium
Oh no, the award for absolute worst photo title ever goes to me! Sorry guys, although this seems more like an occasion for a #sorrynotsorry tag.
Anyway, I made it up to the Palouse! This is a gorgeous area of farmland around Colfax, Washington (but only an hour from Moscow, Idaho if you're from my state), and I'd seen so many beautiful pictures that I'd been longing to check it out for a while (preferably in spring when everything was nice and green). The general consensus of the landscape photographer community seemed to be that the best views were to be had from Steptoe Butte, so to Steptoe I went!
The view from Steptoe definitely didn't disappoint. More gusts of wind than I would have liked and the narrow road that winds up the Butte is a bit scary and pothole-ridden, but it's worth it for the panoramic scene before you. Apparently a lot of other photographers feel the same way too, though, because I saw something like 30-50 that evening. There was even a van ("Aperture Academy" or something) seemingly giving people photo tours. On this hillside alone I bet there were 10-15 other people, although for a while none of them ventured down the hill with me. Why? No clue, but I think I ended up being in a few of their shots, which is funny.
So, I don't know if I'd return to Steptoe in a heartbeat, even though the views are great, just because fighting for space with that many other photographers isn't a huge draw for me. (They're also all at least twice my age and mostly male - why??) But I figure sometimes you have to see the famous places before you can break the rules and find your own spot for your own take on stuff, so I'm glad I went. I feel like this wider angle including the beautiful wildflowers is a bit different from the normal telephoto take on the landscape, too, so I can live with that.
So, visit Steptoe! Highly recommended. ...just prepare for the crowds.
