I was planning a morning trip to Crosby to have a go at Anthony Gormley's Another Place. Driving up The Wirral to the Mersey Tunnel made me have a rethink as there was no way I'd have been able to see anything. The only places I could think of to try and get above the fog were Everton Brow and the Princes Dock multi-storey car park.

Everton Brow overlooks the whole of Liverpool city centre but probably isn't the most advisable place to be wandering around in the dark on a foggy morning so I made the decision to try the car park. This wasn't without risk either having been refused entry several times before by security and I didn't want to pay £9 for two hours parking in case I wasn't above the fog. However, I was prepared to try a little bribe and bought a coffee from 'Bean' coffeeshop which occupies one of the retail units at the base of the car park in the hope if challenged they'd readily accept.

When I entered the foyer the blind was down on the security room so I pressed for the lift and nervously hit the top floor button. A couple of flights of stairs to the roof parking area slowly revealed the tops of many of the iconic skyline buildings poking out above the fog below. I sat for half an hour drinking the coffee and smoking too many roll ups as it started to get light and the city began to come alive with lights coming on and the traffic beginning to build.

The fog was swirling between the buildings and eventually began to clear enough to reveal a nice sky and this was the scene that presented itself when it was finally light enough to see some colour.

Superb morning with conditions I doubt I'll ever see again. Would I recommend it? Probably not as I was convinced I'd be confronted by security any minute.

Was it worth the risk? Absolutely, though it was wrong on so many levels....

Have been playing a little too much Cyberpunk 2077 recently, and this look was totally inspired by Johnny Silverhand... #SorryNotSorry

Sorry that I'm revisiting this staircase again... well I'm not really. I think its a great stair and I like to see if I can photograph something different... ;)

I have a story to tell....

Last weekend I took Critter down to the local pet shop to help out the welfare group. He usually struts around the shop and rubs on anyone he can find.

He did that then he must of been tired and decided to product test one of the scratching post by sitting at the top just waiting for people to come pat him.

Now I haven't told you before but Critter has a thing for kids. It's not that he doesn't like them i think it's more to do he thinks they are a rival or even playthings plus he doesn't put up with kids who are mean and lets them know it.

So this one kid came up to him all nice and excited to see him but Critter tried to bite him, he didn't, just opened his mouth around the poor kids arm...hehehehe and that was enough to send the child off crying to mum. I on the other hand, giggled then told him off and made my way to the mother to apologize for my cats behaviour. Now she was ok and said don't worry our cat does much worse to him.

So I thought it was all good, until the manager of the store approached me and asked us to leave...hehehehehe. Apparently the mother did complain.

Now I don't agree with Critter biting but he didn't break skin or even leave a mark so i think everyone over reacted. Anyway I picked him up and left.

I'm not sure if I'm embarrassed or proud of my boy from being kicked out of a pet shop....between you and me, I'm proud and think it is ridiculously funny.

This photo isn't him growling. He had just finished a yawn and i thought it looked appropriate to go with the story as an evil looking kitty :)

“Sorry Not Sorry” is OUT TODAY

See the lyric video HERE

We all go through tough times that require difficult decisions. But sometimes we don’t need to apologize for it to anyone. Learning from mistakes and becoming the best version of ourselves is an ongoing challenge.

"Sorry Not Sorry" is about that paradox. I wrote this song during a desperate time when I was trying to work through a complicated situation. I felt bad for hurting someone I love, but I needed to work through that experience on my own. In the end, I realized I could better heal by addressing the problem head on.

The brand new event Pandora Fair is opening TOMORROW (May 11th)! In collaboration with Her Geek Spot and Scribble Squad Photography, Be My Mannequin? Pose Store will be attending and debuting TWO exclusive poses and a FATPACK containing both!

Today, I present the second of the two poses: Amen.

Amen is an extremely versatile and unisex SIX PERSON group pose! With your purchase, you get all six poses and linked pose balls (which can be unlinked in edit mode for individual use) and Lucifer's Sword (not shown in picture but can be seen in 3D as a DEMO at Pandora Fair). And of course, all Be My Mannequin? Pose Store poses come copy/mod so you can adjust as you need to. The sword itself can be rezzed out or added to your avatar directly from your inventory.

Amen was inspired by Lucifer's fall from Heaven after he was cast out. I am absolutely in love with the inspiration for these poses but when I saw them, I had another idea in mind. Growing up, I always loved Dragonball Z. It was my favorite anime during my teen years! So when I saw Amen, I saw the potential for a fun, action filled cosplay scene inspired by the Android saga!

In my picture, Android 18 (the blonde female) is in the Landing pose, Krillin (bald on left) is on the Victim 1 pose, Yamcha (dark hair guy in the middle) is on the Victim 3 pose, and Vegeta (dark hair guy in blue/black on the right) is on the Victim 5 pose. Victims 2 and 4 are not shown in the picture but can be seen and be DEMOed at Pandora Fair!

I am in LOVE with the positioning of the poses and how you can unlink them and modify them to fit your needs. You are getting an absolute steal of a purchase with this pose! Don't miss out and be sure to run over to Pandora Fair when it opens tomorrow and DEMO all the poses and check out Lucifer's Sword on display! Pandora Fair will be open from May 11th to May 31st. See you there!

Deadpool. I'll be honest, Fantastic movie (Can't wait for Deadpool 2!), great character... but not my favourite. He'd be fairly low on my list of top Marvel characters, but that doesn't stop him being a fantastic and hilarious character. Loved the movie, Ryan Reynold's was fantastic in it, and was really born to play Deadpool. But yeah, I like other heros a bunch more #sorrynotsorry. I have read a few Deadpool comics and enjoyed them, but same deal, not as much as say a Daredevil or Avengers comic.

I actually built the Zamboni and parts of this diorama a few months after the 1st Deadpool movie came out, but I wasn't totally happy with it. Ice-Hockey rinks aren't all that exciting to build, and I wasn't really making the diorama for myself, I was doing it because someone asked me to and my heart wasn't really in it, so I ended up scraping it. See for me I have to want to build something, and be doing it for fun and for me. The past versions of this MOC became too much about pleasing others, and what they may think of the build, and less about whether or not I was having fun. So in that sense this was a cool learning curve for me. Anyway I had the Zamboni basically still together for a bit and decided, that it's just sitting here, maybe I will revisit the diorama... So I did, and this time I built it for myself, and had a lot of fun putting it together. So go me.

Oh and yes the hockey sticker are official Lego parts from the old Technic hockey sets. It's funny I wanted that back 'wall' to have more to it, but Hockey Stadium 'walls' or 'barriers' (What are those called?) Are surprisingly simple and plan, so I couldn't really do much to it. Still overall fairly happy with the MOC as a whole :)

Yesterday’s figures show a further fall in the number of deaths from COVID-19 and a fall in the number of patients that have contracted the virus that are being cared for in Belgian hospitals. Only 67 new COVID-19 patients were admitted to hospital and 56 deaths have been reported. The biggest news event yesterday was the partially reopening of the schools. A big day for many thousands of schoolchildren who are returning to school for the first time since 13 March. Stepping into the post-corona future everybody is preparing themselves in their way for making the next normal work – Koopvaardijlaan, Ghent, Belgium.

7 June 2021: I received my first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine on 14 May, and I must wait for my second dose of the vaccine until 6 August (12 weeks). Previously it was decided that people that were given their first shot of the AstraZeneca vaccine after 31 May will receive their second dose of the vaccine 8 weeks later. One of the reasons for initially setting the interval between the first and second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at 12 weeks were fears that insufficient supplies of the vaccine would be available. Since 862,400 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are expected during the first three weeks of July this should no longer be an issue. Therefore, I’m hoping that my waiting time will be shortened and that I’ll get my second jab in the first half of July. Let’s cross fingers… Meanwhile, the corona figures show further significant falls. There are currently 979 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 336 are on intensive care wards. The last time that the number of COVID-19 patients in Belgian hospitals was under 1,000 was exactly 8 months ago on 6 October 2020. During the week from 28 to 3 June an average of 1,474 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 20% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate dropped to 0.41 and the reproductive rate continues to stand at 0.87. Last, the figures on the vaccination campaign show that a new milestone was reached on Saturday 5 June. More than 5 million people in Belgium have received at least 1 dose of coronavirus vaccine – Ghent, Belgium.

This skateboard and boardshop was destroyed by fire end 2021. The shop owners invited Nigel Leirens, a Belgian street artist to brighten up the burned down building and to refer customers to a pop-up just 200 m down the road – Nederkouter, Ghent, Belgium.

9 November 2020: Update on The Corona Pandemic – As the number of new Covid-19 patients admitted to hospital continues to decrease slowly, the pressure on intensive care units continues to climb, and the number of deaths is still rising sharply. The reproduction rate now stands at 0.94, down from 0.99 yesterday. With an incidence rate of 1,333 coronavirus cases Belgium is no longer the worst European country but we are still coloring dark red on the map of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). As a reference, Finland with 53 coronavirus cases per 100,000 inhabitants, is at the very bottom of the list. Meanwhile, in the US some republicans and Trump aids are coming to grips with the reality of a loss whilst others are encouraging him to battle the election result until the bitter end. No matter how hard Joe Biden is trying to reunite the country I’m afraid it’s going to be a shitshow until Trump is out of the office. The mural I found at the old cement factory reflects well the two faces the US will be confronted with in the months to come – Dok Noord, Ghent, Belgium.

2 June 2021: The corona figures continue to fall. There are currently 1,232 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 438 are on intensive care wards. During the week from 23 to 29 May an average of 1,739 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 28% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate is 0.47 and the reproductive rate for currently stands at 0.82. Even the more skeptical virologists are upbeat about the trend. They are anticipating that at this rate there will be fewer than 400 patients on ICUs and by mid-June this could be even fewer than 300. For this happy giant the sky is the limit… Oude Houtlei, Ghent, Belgium

11 November 2020: Update on The Corona Pandemic – The Belgian figures for infections and hospitalisations are encouraging. Whilst the pressure on the ICU units increased slightly - 1,474 Covid patients are receiving critical care - the number of infections and hospital admissions continue to go down. This in addition with the news that Pfizer and BioNTech are developing a vaccine that in tests is proving to protect 90% of those inoculated has raised hopes of a speedy return to the old normal. Experts, however, are warning that still a lot needs to happen before we can consider a relaxation of the lockdown measures. The vaccine still needs to be approved and it’s going to take time before enough people are vaccinated to impact the spread of the virus. Pfizer will need a whole year to meet their goal of 1.3 million doses. As you need two doses per person you can inoculate 650 million people with this first batch. The world population is ten times that. Hence, more will be needed than this sole vaccine before we can go back to our normal lives. Everybody seems to be in agreement that after the first wave we reopened society a bit too enthusiastically and the authorities, rightfully, intend to be stricter this time round. The Corona measures will be re-examined on 1 December, but the government is refusing to be drawn on relaxations ahead of Christmas. “First we need to reach a safe port. Circulation of the virus must be limited as much as possible ahead of relaxations” Belgian health minister Frank Vandenbroucke stated. Net-net, hoping for a traditional Xmas is a fantasy just like the mural of Cee Pil, an artist renowned for his graffiti art and groundbreaking murals – Oude Dokken, Ghent, Belgium.

Patient, kind, loving, wise, and intelligent. She values moments of silence and stillness. She dissects the world around her with such clarity that she often leaves me speechless. She faces challenges not without fear but through the fear with a quiet determination and drive that often takes me off guard.

And as I watch her in moments like these, I still have this overwhelming sense of awe that she is mine. She is nothing like me, but I love absolutely everything that she is.

3 June 2021: The pressure on the healthcare system eases further. There are currently 1,161 COVID-19 patients being cared for in Belgian hospitals; of those hospitalised 403 are on intensive care wards. During the week from 24 to 30 May an average of 1,715 people in Belgium tested positive for the coronavirus. This is 29% down on the figures for the previous week. The positivity rate is 0.46 and the reproductive rate currently stands at 0.86. Tomorrow the government is expected to give the official go-ahead for the first phase of the summer plan that will go into force from 9 June and will allow the indoor areas of the hospitality industry and several other businesses, such as gyms and cinemas, to reopen. Additionally, tomorrow we will also be informed about the modalities for the ‘Digital Covid Certificate’ for tree travel within the EU during the pandemic. In summary, all’s well and on top of that Roa started working on a new mural downtown Ghent. The world-famous street artist is primarily known for his strong obsession for animals and rodents – Oude Houtlei, Ghent, Belgium

Today all non-essential businesses restart their activities, hospitals are resuming non-urgent appointments and public transport resumes its normal timetable. The falling trend is continuing and the number of patients in critical care is under 700. 77 patients have been hospitalized according to yesterday's report. The total number of people in hospital with the disease is down to 3,056. The crisis center also reported 79 fatalities, bringing the total number to 7,844. In the coming days the focus will be on the roll out of testing and the tracing of infections. We are looking forward to the new phase of the lockdown with concern and excitement. Today’s picture is from yesterday’s outing, it was my second visit to the Valhalla of graffiti at the Dok Noord – Dok Noord, Ghent, Belgium

Yesterday it was announced that on Saturday 392 people were admitted to hospital and that 477 patients were discharged. There are currently 5,353 people in hospital with coronavirus symptoms, of whom 1,223 are in intensive care. The total number of people in hospital has fallen by 282 in a day. The number in intensive care is down by 39 over the same period. So far 6,463 people have been discharged from hospital and made a full recovery. Unfortunately, also 268 new fatalities were reported, bringing the total to 3,600 since the outbreak began. Despite the gloom and doom of the corona crisis I continue with my corona walks in search of moments to remember - Werregarenstraat, Ghent, Belgium
