View On Black

(version II)

Branches of light reaching gently through the veils,

a warm and loving embrace of eternity waking,

soothing the sleeper's crystalline soul.

Sunset in my garden...

Tree trunks reflected in the calm waters of Crescent Lake.

A little bit of Daddy time while Tart sleeps. Dream good dreams, little man.

I just love this place so much. Everyone should have access to a lovely place like that. More trees, less concrete!

We went hiking near Half Moon Bay on the California coast. The weather was clear during the hike. I thought it will be too clear for a sunset shoot, e.g. too boring. The weather can change quickly. By the time we were at the Martin's Beach the sun was hidden behind clouds, stormy weather clouds. Martin's Beach has some nice rocks standing in the sea. I took this shot at the blue hour.

I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure, and carefully adjusted the curves and color balance. I welcome and appreciate your critical feedback.

... PEACE and QUIET,

When all is preparing for the night, a soothing moment, soaking up the silence of the evening.

The moon a slither, and only the music of the yachting paraphernalia, a rhythmic clanking of metal.

Hellevoetsluis features a six magnificent ports with a total of about 2,000 moorings.

The ports provide a wonderful base for boaters who love the wide waters of the Haringvliet and the sea.

From Hellevoetsluis it is possible to both inland waterways and the sea, also to sail in the Zeeland and South Holland Delta.

Hellevoetsluis is located on the Haringvliet with the sea, beach and dunes close by, on the extreme southern edge of the Rijnmond and Europoort areas, close to the broad Zeeland landscape.

The name translates as "lock at the foot of the Helle".

The Helle was a small local river which disappeared over time.

Salutations! When I took this photo of these mums, I was wondering why they are called white chrysanthemums? They look more like a bi-color variety to me plus they have a lavender edge to some of them. Sometimes the red mums look rust colored, burgundy or deep red and the orange ones look dreamsickle colored. If you were to order them online, the colors may not be true. But as in all things in life, the more you look with a sense of wonder, the more you see!

The warming glow of this Australian beachside sunset appears to radiate off the page.

Thanks to everyone who takes time to comment, and fave my photo.

Enjoy...

Tolbatchik Volcano with its reflexion on blue hour.

I usually prefer to keep my exposures reasonably short for rivers and streams so that they look more like you actually see them. On this shot I went longer to capture the cloud movement and create a more surreal and soothing smoothness.

Sunset from my window

Blue hour viewed across a salt lake.

Réservoir Kiamika, Hautes-Laurentides, Québec, Canada.

A delicate sunrise from the drive back to Wales. After hectic twisting mountain roads it was quite soothing to see this pastel sunrise ove the Grey Corries. Sadly I've got no more snow clad peaks for a. while but this was a great final parting shot. Simmer Down is by Bob Marley and the Wailers. I need to go Christmas shopping in Cardiff today.

A softer focus and a milder contrast and colour palette.

(a quiet evening and a few good "single malts" can do that to you).

For Mosaic Montage Monday are these lovely horses. A montage of horse, duplicated, with palm trees and sparkles desaturated with a beige paper texture. (Thanks to Kerstin Frank). HMMM
