‘Sweet Child O’ Mine_Guns N Roses
She's got a smile it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
She takes me away to that special place
And if I'd stare too long
I'd probably break down and cry
Oh, oh, oh
Sweet child o' mine
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Sweet love of mine

I was so very sad to hear of your passing tonight.
You were such a gift, your talent will leave a wide gap in the literary world and will be sadly missed.
One of my favourite songs:
There are so many renditions of this song by many artists, it is just so beautiful.

SOOC.
Leave The Door Open_Silk Sonic
Say baby, say baby, say baby
What you doin'? (What you doin'?)
Where you at? (Where you at?)
Oh, you got plans? (You got plans?)
Don't say that (shut yo' trap)
I'm sippin' wine (sip, sip)
In a robe (drip, drip)
I look too good (look too good)
To be alone (woo-hoo)
My house clean (house clean)
My pool warm (pool warm)
Just shaved (smooth like a newborn)
We should be dancing, romancing, in the east wing
And the west wing of this mansion, what's happenin'?
I ain't playin' no games
Every word that I say
Is coming straight from the heart
So if you tryna lay in these arms
I'ma leave the door open
(I'ma leave the door open)
Songwriters: Brandon Anderson / Christopher Brown / Dernst Emile / Peter Hernandez
When I came upon this Cormorant gazing out over the water at a local lake, I wondered if it was lonely or just liked hanging-out alone. I’ve found there is a difference.
"All by Myself" is a song by American singer-songwriter Eric Carmen. The most notable cover version of the song was recorded by Canadian singer Celine Dion in 1996.

You're broken down and tired
Of living life on a merry go round
And you can't find the fighter
But I see it in you so we gonna walk it out
And move mountains
We gonna walk it out
And move mountains
And I'll rise up
I'll rise like the day
I'll rise up
I'll rise unafraid
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousand times again
And I'll rise up
High like the waves
I'll rise up
In spite of the ache
I'll rise up
And I'll do it a thousands times again
For you
For you
For you
For you
When the silence isn't quiet
And it feels like it's getting hard to breathe
And I know you feel like dying
But I promise we'll take the world to its feet
And move mountains
We'll take it to its feet
And move mountains

Worth a visit to see Fiona Fei's interactive display
It's the kind of grey November day that washes away reflections

And the latticed wooden benches by the sea contain no travellers or Irish lady authors.........Al Stewart, singer, songwriter.
I'm very grateful for all your visits and would like to thank you now for stopping by, and any comments you may leave. Much appreciated, John...

I'm looking through you, where did you go?
I thought I knew you, what did I know?
You don't look different, but you have changed
I'm looking through you, you're not the same
Your lips are moving, I cannot hear
Your voice is soothing, but the words aren't clear
You don't sound different, I've learned the game
I'm looking through you, you're not the same
Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight
You're thinking of me the same old way
You were above me, but not today
The only difference is you're down there
I'm looking through you and you're nowhere
Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight
I'm looking through you, where did you go?
I thought I knew you, what did I know
You don't look different, but you have changed
I'm looking through you, you're not the same

Canadian singer-songwriter, Gordon Lightfoot died last week. I decided to make a Spotify playlist of his songs and discovered that one of the songs on this album is about a Persian cat. I've listened to it innumerable times and always assumed "Daylight Katy" was a woman. Lightfoot was a special and talented man who leaves behind a legacy of wonderful music!

To Mick Ronson who was a Gardener in Hulls East Park this sculpture is now in a garden named after him.
Michael "Mick" Ronson (26 May 1946 – 29 April 1993)[1] was an English guitarist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer. He achieved critical and commercial success working with David Bowie as one of the Spiders from Mars. He was a session musician who recorded with Bowie followed by several albums with Ian Hunter, also Morrissey, as well as a sideman in touring bands with Van Morrison and Bob Dylan.
Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American singer, guitarist and songwriter. He was one of the main figures of the outlaw country subgenre that developed in the late 1960's as a reaction to the conservative restrictions of the Nashville sound and member of country supergroup The Highwaymen, along with fellow singers Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson. Nelson has acted in over 30 films and co-authored several books making him one of the most recognized artists in country music.
Nelson was born in Abbott, Texas which is just 10 miles south of Hillsboro, Texas. He wrote his first song at age seven and joined his first band at ten. Later, he attended Abbott High School, where he was a halfback on the football team, guard on the basketball team, and shortstop in baseball. He also raised pigs with the Future Farmers of America. While still in high school, he sang and played guitar in The Texans, a band formed by his sister's husband, Bud Fletcher. The band played in honky-tonks, and also had a Sunday morning spot at KHBR in Hillsboro. The mural above is painted on the side of a multi-story building located just off of court square in Hillsboro as well. It features Willie in the later part of his life with his long braids and the iconic cowboy hat.
"I used to work in the cotton fields a lot when I was young. There were a lot of African Americans working out there. A lot of Mexicans - the blacks and the whites and the Mexicans, all out there singing, and it was like an opera in the cotton fields, and I can still hear it in the music that I write and play today."
-- Willie Nelson
