Das Ende eines wundervollen warmen Tages -
ein Urlaubstag, wie er sein muß.
On my drive home, I crossed this river and saw the beautiful light. So I set up tripod again and took the photo.

The blackbird is one of our most famous birds. The typical concert is simply part of the mild summer evening, as is their warning call when a cat sneaks up. After overcoming their shyness of humans, the blackbird has become an integral part of our gardens, parks and cities.
Die Amsel ist einer unserer bekanntesten Vögel. Das typische Konzert gehört zum lauen Sommerabend einfach dazu, ebenso wie ihr Warnruf, wenn sich eine Katze anschleicht. Nachdem die Amsel ihre Menschenscheu überwunden hat, ist sie aus unseren Gärten, Parks und Städten nicht mehr wegzudenken.
A dreamlike summer evening with a view across my homeland. I am very thankful, that I can live in such a beautiful region. In only five minutes, I can be on a place like this. Far away from the noises of the cities, sunken into the smells and the sounds of pure nature around me. Faszinated of and captured by the beauty of the moment. I truly love my homeland.
Ein traumhafter Sommerabend mit Blick über meine Heimat. Ich bin sehr dankbar in einer solch wunderschönen Region leben zu dürfen. In nur fünf Minuten kann ich an einem Ort wie diesem sein. Weit weg vom Lärm der Städte versunken in die Gerüche und Geräusche der Natur um mich herum. Fasziniert und gefangen von der Schönheit des Augenblicks. Ich liebe meine Heimat.

This is lake Blankensee in the Nuthe-Nieplitz nature park, with its reed belt it's home to many birds and waterbirds . Due to the heat we had, there is an unusual amount of algae on the water.
The setting sun is shing on a sea of golden and ripe corn, while around me the birds are singing and the bees (and unfortunately the mosquitos too) are buzzing. This is a summer evening at its best. While I'm looking at the photograph, I still can smell this typical fragrance of this scenery, intense and warm and soft. Unfortunately I'm not able to capture the sound or he smell in a photo, so take Your time and try to imagine.
Die untergehende Sonne bescheint ein reifes und goldenes Getreidefeld während um mich herum die Vögel singen und die Bienen (leider auch die Mücken) summen. Das ist ein Sommerabend, wie ich ihn mir vorstelle. Während ich mir das Bild betrachte, kann ich noch den typischen Duft dieser Szene riechen, satt und warm und weich. Leider ist es mir unmöglich den Klang oder den Geruch im Foto festzuhalten, also nehmt Euch die Zeit und versucht es Euch vorzustellen.

When it's particularly warm, like today, it's best to stay in the shade if possible.
Of course, I also want to take that to heart, so I'm taking you with me to a summer evening in the park of Hermsdorf Castle in Saxony.
The photo isn't as spectacular as yesterday's, but it has the right effect (at least for me). The longer I go into this scene, the more relaxed I feel.
Maybe that will work for you too.
Wenn es besonders warm ist, so wie heute, dann ist es am Besten sich möglichst im Schatten aufzuhalten.
Das will ich natürlich auch beherzigen und nehme Euch dehalb mit zum einem Sommerabend im Park vom Schloss Hermsdorf in Sachsen.
Das Foto ist zwar nicht so spektakulär wie das gestrige, jedoch entfaltet es (zumindest bei mir) die richtige Wirkung. Je länger ich mich in diese Szene hinein begebe um so entspannter fühle ich mich.
Vielleicht klappt das ja auch bei Euch.

From the Pfaffenstein you have a wonderful view of Königstein, Lilienstein and Pfaffendorf. Only in the summer months is the sun in the evening in such a way that it fits into this view. A summer evening to relax.
Vom Pfaffenstein hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf Königstein, Lilienstein und Pfaffendorf. Nur in den Sommermonaten steht die Sonne am Abend so, dass sie in diesen Blick passt. Ein Sommerabend zum Entspannen.

Actually I like the round straw bales much more than this one here. But as I recently saw this Lego for farmers close to my house, I could'nt resist. One benefit of this version is, that I could try another perspective, with a better oberview. Foresight never hurt anyone.
Eigentlich gefallen mir die runden Strohballen deutlich besser als diese hier. Als ich kürzlich dieses Lego für Landwirte in der Nähe meines Hauses gesehen habe konnte ich trotzdem nicht widerstehen. Der Vorteil von dieser Variante ist, dass ich hier mal eine andere Perspektive versuchen konnte, eine mit mehr Übersicht. Weitblick hat noch nie geschadet.

Now it's official weather-wise, autumn has arrived. Actually, I really like taking photos at this time of the year. On the other hand, I love the warmth and relaxed atmosphere in summer.
For this reason I make a little trip into the past on a warm summer evening and feel, smell and hear again what it was like that day.
Maybe you have the time to pause and follow me.
Nun ist es wettertechnisch offiziell, der Herbst ist angekommen. Eigentlich mag ich es sehr in dieser Jahreszeit zu fotografieren. Auf der anderen Seite liebe ich die Wärme und die entspannte Atmosphäre im Sommer.
Aus diesem Grund mach ich noch einen kleinen Ausflug in die Vergangenheit zu einem warmen Sommerabend und fühle, rieche und höre noch einmal, wie es an diesem Tag war.
Vielleicht habt Ihr ja die zeit kurz inne zu halten und mir zu folgen.
