SomeGuy got rolling and joined us. :) Sometimes we party alone (and the remnants of the solo party are clearly evidenced in what was left behind), sometimes 2 of us team up together (sometimes on some unsuspecting account) and sometimes we 3 create a team of party pack animals. :D

someGuy: Oh boy, I love this one! How come you have the same type of shadows on both bridges? Quite unnatural, huh?
Me: @someGuy Oups, Got me... I think I photoshoped this one. But don't you just love symmetry? I certainly do.

This message on the bridge's handrail -- "Some guy just in [arrow] and died . . .Fonsy!" -- is a bit mysterious. For one thing, it's missing a verb. Some guy just fell in? Jumped in? Got thrown in? Dove in? And is "Fonsy" the guy who did one of these things and died -- or the guy who carried the message? Hmmm.
It is easy to understand why ADDA's favorite film at the SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL #51is the artistic documentary by ANDREA KREUZHAGE!
Put in art, color, a beautifully told story, great filming, good background music, interesting subjects, fantastic art, cool undiscovered artists, mystery, a little sadness, lots of hope and lots & lots of art...well, ADDA is going to love it!
It was great seeing this wonderful film again and who would think there would be a surprise for everyone at the show!
At the first screening someone asked SOMEGUY if anyone has ever returned one of the MISSING 1000 JOURNALS to him at a screening.
"Well, no, but if anyone has one out there...please return!" he said.
In the final credits, several artists plee for the 1000 JOURNALS to return.
yes, you guessed it...At MONDAY's screening,
A YOUNG WOMAN STANDS UP AND SAYS, 'I READ ON THE BLOG THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR LOST 980 JOURNALS...WELL HERE IS ONE OF THEM...#264!"
The audience went wild with applause, when she rushed down to deliver the JOURNAL to SOMEGUY...The momentous event was photographed & she was interviewed on stage!
At the end of the Q&A, there were more photos...and More artwork drawn!
Even FLAT STANLEY came to the screening. (FLAT STANLEY is the grade school children's 'dada / mail art' project of photographing a drawing of Stanley at various locals.)
FLAT STANLEY was photographed with SOMEGUY! adda suggested he physically visit one of the JOURNALS to be photographed. We opened the 1000 JOURNAL and he was photographed on top of a 'child-like' drawing of girl, flower & sun. WHAT A PERFECT PAGE FOR 'FLAT STANLEY'!
ADDA asked permission if he could add some of his dear MAIL ART friends art work to one of the 1000 JOURNALS.
So, included in one of the 1000 JOURNALS are now WALT EVANS' wonderful drawings, RUDI RUBBEROID's fun postcard w/ stickers, TOBY JILL's rubber stamps, & CW HANEY with a beautiful heart-warming note.
Also, on Monday, there also was a showing of 1000 JOURNALS at JEFFERSON HIGH SCHOOL in DALY CITY where the innercity kids really responded well to the film.
There is one more chance to see 1000 JOURNALS on THURSDAY MAY 1 at 3:15 at the SFIFF #51! ADDA will see you there! Yes, three times...!

Whenever I hear about the movie "Rock N Rolla" my brain pronounces the "Rolla" not like "Roller" with the final 'r' softened but rather like the town in central Missouri that's home to my alma-mater, the Missouri University of Science and Technology, formerly the University of Missouri-Rolla, formerly the Missouri school of Mines and Metallurgy, formerly Cletus' Learnin' hut.
If you're curious, I was there to see Zack and Miri Make a Porno. I enjoyed it. Don't see it with your mother.
Can't believe I never showed you guys this. We were walking the three blocks between my house and my local café, and we ran into this guy, who was wearing the same exact shirt as Damian (which I bought him from Threadless). Had to take a picture.

1000 JOURNALS -documentary by ANDREA KERUZHAGE of SOMEGUY's art project of releasing 1000 blank journals into the world for people to DRAW, PASTE, CUT, FOLD, PAINT, WRITE, and SHARE !
It is a great DADA & MAIL ART project to send out 1000 blank journals into the world for people to add their contribution. The project started in 2000 and so far only about 8 journals have returned to SOMEGUY!
ANDREA KREUZHAGE made a beautiful artistic film about a very cool arty project. She traces some of the artists contributions to the returned 'sacred' journals.
The documentary also interviewed the project artist SOMEGUY. He expressed how it felt to release the journals, as well as the excitement he felt when one was returned.
ANDREA tracks down and beautifully films the artists from around the world who have touched one of the 1000 JOURNALS. There are many fun moments of the artists on how the 1000 JOURNALS affected their lifes. The director also included the heartwrenching stories of how artists felt when their artwork was changed or added upon.
Unlike most MAIL ART projects, where the receiver would keep the chain of art moving, the 1000 JOURNALS allows anyone to add to the journal, thus, causing MOST ALL of the 1000 JOURNALS to still be out in the universe. ( So if you have one, add to it and keep it moving!)
After the movie, SOMEGUY let 5 of the 'returned' 1000 JOURNALS be admired and added to by the film goers! A small group of dedicated artists and enthusiasts jumped at the chance to be part of the 1000 JOURNALS art history!
ADDA DADA , being the dadaist, saw the current issue of VANITY FAIR (a sponsor of the SFIFF51) next to one of the 1000 JOURNALS , so naturally that meant that the MADONNA cover HAD to be 'added' to the 1000 JOURNALS, hence, ADDA's contribution of SAINT MADONNA!
You can contribute to one of the NEW 1001 JOURNALS project by going to www.1001JOURNALS.COM !
----------
ADDA DADA so loved this film that he saw it THREE TIMES at the FESTIVAL...yes, it really is a very good arty film about art. HOW CAN ADDA NOT SEE IT THAT MANY TIMES!

The 51st SFIFF is up and running in beautiful sunny SAN FRANCISCO! Yes, while the weather is the nicest it has ever been during a film festival in San Francisco, the die-hard film goers are at SFIFF 51! (yes, ADDA is one of them with 45 films in 2 weeks!)
Great selection of films from around the world at the SUNDANCE KABUKI THEATRE in JAPANTOWN.
