這趟台東
是我最近期之內的小旅行
現在想起來，令人相當懷念且
難過 當然並不是跟底片沒裝好有關
這三天，伴隨39.2度的高溫並且頭昏昏
跟著值得信賴且可靠的朋友上山(!?)下海
「或許這輩子，就這一次到台東了」帶著這份覺悟，一個人我就出發了
還好！我有來… 我有來…
有時候我內心並不是如同給你們印象中
的，那麼坦白
但是…真的！還好有來

Shot taken during one of the many nights spent on the summit of mount Rocciamelone (3,538 m - 11,608 ft), Susa valley, Italy.
Yes, it's like being on a plane, with an unique difference: you've really earned your place!
Observing the plain, no less then 3.000 meters below, is always an unique experience... it seems really to gaze toward another planet... far from everything we know and we have memory.
The title comes from the well known science fiction novel "Solaris", by Stanisław Lem.
The interstellar journey of Kelvin to a space station orbiting the remote oceanic planet Solaris, can be a good metaphor for one night spent 3.000 meters above the ordinary life we all know.
These low clouds reminded me the the oceanic surface of that thinking planet.
Actually, such clouds are truly hiding thoughts... just imagine how many lives are connected with all those tiny lights...

I was impressed by the perfect alignment of the Sun and the strong reflection along the shinning surface of the ramp pavement, creating unexpectedly long shadows. it was closing time though, a vigilant already pushing me out, so i had just two or three tries and no way of experiencing with different technical choices. In the end I really liked the technical imperfections.
Solaris reminds me of the Portuguese word for Sun: Sol. Somehow I thought this image could also illustrate the idea behind Stanislaw Lem's book and the two movies it originated, the large space creating a sense of loneliness, the shadow being the anguish and guilty concerns expressed in an human form, the self-aware planet studying our responses to its psychological experiments.
