Colt has designed and installed a Shadoglass glass solar shading system with CCS 2000 controls to reduce solar heat gain, lower air conditioning running costs, and lessen glare whilst maximising the use of natural daylight.
The US Government is taking the lead in constructing low-energy naturally ventilated buildings and 51 Louisiana Avenue is one such example.
Colt supplied a series of Coltlite natural glass louvered ventilators to meet this objective. One bank of ventilators extends right up the facade of the building.

Hiswa is a trade group for the Netherlands water sports industry, and is famous for a twice-yearly organised consumer trade show for the water sports public. A new office building for the organisers of the water sports shows has been fitted with Colt Solarfin aluminium louvres which provide both solar shading and a stunning façade along the boardwalk.

It was original owner John Andriolo’s long held dream to construct Girasole before his retirement. As an award winning builder with over 30 years experience (MAG Constructions (ACT) P/L) John commissioned DNA Architects to bring the concept to life. The house that challenges thinking about how we live and what we build. The house is located on a corner plot looking out onto protected grasslands. It's not unknown for drivers to pass the house, see it moving and accidentally drive into the kerb as the road turns the corner!
In 2006 the refurbishment of a 1960's tower block, the highest building in Ireland, owned by Cork County Council was completed.
Along with a complete internal refit and the provision of additional office accommodation including a new concourse and council chamber, this tower was re-clad with a Colt active glass louvre secondary facade system covering over 1400 m² of facade, for the east and west facades.

The Dry Training Facility at the Harefield Academy is used partly by the Academy and partly by Watford Football Club as an internal football pitch.
Colt installed 32 Seefire roof ventilators, 16 at each end, to provide natural ventilation, connected to a Colt ICS 4-Link control system. This is linked to a wind sensor and temperature sensors, and allows fully automatic control of the internal temperature.
