Description: Solar panels being manufactured at a factory owned by the company Swelect Energy Systems Limited.
Solar energy is a key renewable energy source. As an alternative to energy generated from fossil fuels, it is a substantial component in countries trying tackle climate change.
This CC-BY-licensed footage related to climate change was published with support from Internews' Earth Journalism Network and The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
A "bp solar" panel, sold by British Petroleum, greenwashed as "Beyond Petroleum," and discontinued in favor of their core business: basically petroleum.
BP got a lot of solar assets when they took over ARCO. I don't think they used any of these on the Deepwater Horizon to more efficiently dump oil, and then dispersants, into the Gulf of Mexico.
