On a budget but still want good looking panels?
All black mono, onyx panels from www.phonosolar.com/EN/Index.html look very smart.
Same guarantee and module efficiency as a Branded panel, but less expensive.
Chris Roberts converted all of the lighting in his home to LED lighting that is 100% powered by solar energy. The project consists of a Solar Array, a Battery Bank, a Networked Power Distribution and Control System, and 24 LED lights. The solar array racks, LED lights and the power distribution and control system are his own design. The solar array is made up of eight 85W rack mounted solar panels. The racks allow the panels manually pointed toward the sun by adjusting azimuth and elevation. There are 7 12V Concorde Sun Extender in the battery bank. The 12VDC is distributed to networked control circuits. The LEDs are controlled by a master controller that reads touch switches and motion sensors and then sends on/off commands to the LEDs. The lights turn themselves off when not needed to conserve energy.
Invest in a solar PV system for your home and you’ll see the difference immediately. Even on a cloudy day, you’ll be producing your own electricity. A government-backed scheme will pay you, tax free, for 25 years for all of the electricity that you produce from your solar panels.

Q 1:What is the difference between mono and bifacial solar panels?
A: A monofacial solar panel only absorbs sunlight from the front surface of the solar panel while the bifacial solar panel features solar cells on both sides. As you can imagine, when you are producing energy from both sides of the panel, you increase the amount of electricity that can be produced.
Q 2: Are half-cell solar panels better?
A: Half-cut cell mono PERC solar modules have solar cells that are cut in half, which improves the solar module's performance and durability. Half-cut solar panels are far more efficient and operate better than conventional ones.
Q 3: How efficient are PERC solar panels?
A: Given that a standard module typically has an efficiency of 20%, a system using PERC modules will generate about 5% more energy than a system using standard modules, all else being equal. Like other high-efficiency modules, PERC modules can be used to maximize production on a limited roof area.
Q4: Is mono or poly solar better?
A: Monocrystalline solar cells are more efficient because they are cut from a single source of silicon. Polycrystalline solar cells are blended from multiple silicon sources and are slightly less efficient.
Q5: What is advantage Of MBB Modules (Multi busbar Module)?
A: MBB means that a solar cell is equipped with 12 or 16 busbars instead of 4, 5 or 6. This means the modules provide a higher power output and a higher reliability:
a) ~2 % – 2,5 % power increase (in % range because cell eff. and types are different)
b) Shorter transportation path for current
c) High reflectance wire design with less shading
d) Mechanical load performance increased
e) Risk of micro crack decreased
Q6: Is it worth oversizing solar panels?
A: Oversizing solar panels not only can save you the amount of money, but it also increases your energy generation when your grid operator limits the inverter size you can install.
Q7: What Are The Pros Of High Voltage Solar Panels?
A: The solar panel output voltage is determined by the number of solar cells wired together into a single panel. High voltage solar panels are more efficient than low voltage panels and require less space to deploy thus reducing the cost of materials and labor to mount them on a roof or ground mount.
Day 2, September 30, 2013. After the crew arrived, they completed the install of rails to the VersaBrackets on the upper main roof and began installing VersaBrackets on the the two lower shed roofs.
Our customer wanted a 'worry free' system that we could monitor performance on their behalf, and also had a 20 year guarantee.
We installed Enphase micro inverters.
Just the job.

Under the Central Karakoram National Park (CKNP) project, funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, 143,800 plantations have been made through the installation of 30 Hydraulic Ram Pumps, 38 Solar Water Lifting Pumps, 28 Solar Drying Units and 38 Green House Tunnels. These technological interventions have positively impacted the livelihoods of 22 villages in Gilgit-Baltistan. The operational and management plans of Central Karakoram Park and Deosai National Park are also being formulated under this project.

Want solar but got a tricky roof? Talk to us, we like a challenge!
Check this one out in Helmshore; new slate roof, two aspects, five groupings of panels, avoiding shading, and we had to leave space for Velux windows to go in at a later date.

Woking Station Canopy, which was approved by Woking Councillors in March 2004, was built in 2007. It is equipped with photovoltaic cells to collect sunlight and convert it into energy. The canopy has 35,000 photovoltaic cells, producing an estimated 51,000 to 58,000kWh of electricity a year. The power will light the canopy as well as being sent to other council sites for use there. Woking Borough Council estimates the canopy could save the town in excess of 41 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
The metal direct flow collector is made with borosilicate 3.3 transparent glass tube, its thickness 2.0mm and OD 70mm;The tube is completely evacuated and not the same as our SL-FTREG and SL-MHP70. The heat efficiency of metal heat pipe in OD70mm is a lot higher than that in SL-MHP and SL-FTREG.The direct flow pipe adopts double pipes process - inner pipe and outer pipe. The are tightly compressed with the aluminum absorbed. Besides, the working principle of direct flow is not the same as theirs.
The solar energy passes though the glass and is absorbed by the selective coating on the aluminum absorber, thus it becomes hot. The cold heat-transport fluid flows inside through inner pipe and is heated when goes out from the outer pipe, then it transfer the heat to water through the exchange copper coil in tank.
