Yesterday I went to a fascinating talk on what Britain could technically do to tackle the issue of climate change (Zero Carbon Britain) and today I discovered a field of solar panels walking distance from where I live.

DeBord Family Partnership with energy contractor ARiES Energy is the first to complete a project under the new, "Clean Tennessee Energy grant program" administered by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

 

The system is a showcase project that will create environmental benefits while also modeling how solar technologies can enhance historic properties. The installation is an 11.73 kW solar PV project on the rooftop of the 144 West Main Street building in Historic Downtown Morristown.

Nearly 40 people gathered at Deep Portage Learning Center outside of Hackensack Tuesday, August 6, 2013, for a clean energy tour sponsored by Northwest Clean Energy Resource Team (NW CERT) and Central Clean Energy Resource Team (Central CERT). Click here to learn more.

On October 3rd, over 30 people joined a clean energy tour in Detroit Lakes hosted by Detroit Lakes Public Utilities, Missouri River Energy Services (MRES), and Central Clean Energy Resource Team (Central CERT).

Syzygy Renewable's Solar PV Project

 

900 Solar PV Panels laid on a combination of standing seam and flat membrane roofs. This is the UK's largest roof-mounted Solar installation on a shopping centre in the and was a finalist in the ‘UK Renewable Energy project of the Year Award.
