Friday the 13th turned out to be a great day in Rushford, Minnesota, home to Tri-County Electric Cooperative. After a handful of informative presentations about community solar gardens, attendees got to tour TEC's own Renewable Ray installation. Click here to learn more >>

Sungrid had a new sign added to the outside of its office building a month or two ago. The facade was already a serendipitous navy blue color. Now, the building exactly matches the most recent business card design. So, that worked out nicely.

On December 2, 2015 the City of Hutchinson switched on the largest solar installation on a brownfield site in Minnesota. Built on the site of a 1970s era city dump, the 400 kilowatt array powers the wastewater treatment plant next door, helping offset energy use for the city’s largest municipal energy consumer. 99 people gathered in Woodbury, MN on March 1, 2012 for a free workshop to learn the basics about solar energy, hear from a panel of homeowners and businesses that have installed solar projects, find out about incentives and rebates for installing solar, and get resources to start their own solar energy projects. The event was organized by Metro CERT in partnership with the Woodbury Environmental Advisory Commission. Click here to learn more.

This 10.78 kW solar system is mounted on a large rack structure

designed to securely hold the 44 ISOFOTON 245-watt solar panels. The electricity captured by the panels is converted from DC to AC by two large SMA inverters, which were selected to maximize the amount of power produced by this new solar photovoltaic array.
