During project construction, environmental impact on the natural jungle was minimized during as much as possible. Due to the site’s remoteness, the turbines and large equipment were delivered over water by barge whilst pathways were cut using local knowledge and experience.

CERTs bought a kit with a model solar photovoltaic panel, a wind turbine, and a hydrogen fuel cell to show people how these technologies work.
This is a small array of blue and orange solar panels that belong to Telstra. They're found in remote areas- we saw a similar but larger array in Northern Queensland last year. However, I don't know if they only provide power for communication services or if they also provide general power.
