Shadows along the Sol Duc River trail give this rainforest a dappled look. The trunk of the monster Douglas Fir on the right is perfectly split by shadow from a nearby monster, giving the trunk a creased look, which is what first drew my eye. These big firs are tantamount to the Redwoods, simply awe-inspiring. Loggers came out here years ago after they decimated original-growth trees in my home state of Michigan. I'm not anti-logging, but we've been challenged by the proper balance throughout our history. In a Dark Wood, by Alston Chase, is a good read in this regards.

The narrow-gauged Ferrocarril de Sóller is climbing from its start in Sóller up to roundabout 400m above sea level before getting down to Palma. EMU 4 is running uphill near the Viaducte de Monreals.

Este fenómeno atmosférico se produce cuando la luz del sol atraviesa diminutos cristales de hielo que se encuentran suspendidos en la parte alta de la atmósfera de la Tierra, lo que produce que la luz solar se disperse de una manera peculiar y de lugar a la formación de un aro de colores (similar a un arco iris)
This is a really interesting waterfall in Olympic National Park, but it's not a great one to shoot. The trail and terrain pretty much only give you one decent angle at it, which is why my shot looks EXACTLY like every other shot I've ever seen of this place. Main challenge with this version was the Photoshop work required to clone out all the people that were on the trail on the right side. Still, it's a really beautiful fall and a very easy hike into it.

Estaba el sol precioso pero la temperatura era de -3ºC y la sensación térmica de -7ºC por el vientecillo
Era davvero così quel giorno, in Umbria... un freddo cane..eh beh, che ci si poteva aspettare da un sole coperto da mille nubi?

IO: sarebbe figo immortalare un sole così, ma cavolo queste nuvole corrono troppo, non ho una finestra temporale sufficiente...

El cambio climático ha elevado las marcas térmicas y pluviales en esta zona. Los campos permanecen inundados en parte, y sus zonas altas se tapizan de abundantísima hierva. Afortunadamente, son muchos los días soleados, indispensables para la subsistencia de nuestro ecosistema.
