swift.consult's offices are located in Düsseldorf, capital of North-Rhine-Westfalia, Germany.

The building is a former industrial building which was core renovated some 5 years ago. We moved here 2 month ago, so not everything is quite finished. But you get an idea ;-)

It is nearby our former location, which was in the media harbour with the famous buildings of Frank O'Gehry. Although the view from the old office was quite nice, the new one offers much more space and a loft style interior.

Feel free to stop by, when you are in Düsseldorf.

Looks like there's a lot of old data.

KK and my CSci 3601 (Software Design and Development) class took a field trip up to the West Central Research and Outreach Center (WCROC) Horticulture Gardens to see where their project would actually be used. Steve Poppe did most of the tour guiding, with assistance from Esther Jordan.

A custom ultra-widescreen 34" touch monitor presents a timeline that allows visitors to select major dates and events in the Vietnam conflict. Housed in a "conex box" -- a common US military storage container, visitors can view more than 15 minutes of video and motion graphics showing historical footage, maps, and other information about the conflict. This exhibit is at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum.

Raise a glass to an innovative and refreshing approach to application development! Ideum's new Tangible Engine Media Creator makes it easy for designers with little or no programming experience to create nuanced and engaging mixed-reality applications using our proprietary object-recognition software.

When it's released this fall, the Media Creator will include New Mexico Beer Flight, a demo program illustrating creative options for building menus and windows and linking onscreen content with handheld objects. Placing glasses equipped with fiducial markers on the touch table calls up a fanciful history of New Mexico beers and ales, plus information on taste, ingredients, brewing processes, and food pairings. Having created a Tangible Engine-based wine tasting for JCB wines and a coffee tasting for Starbucks, a beer tasting seemed the perfect way to highlight the flexibility of the Media Creator. Programming has never been this straightforward, intuitive… or tasty!
