Whoa! This little one just mozied-on-down very nonchallantly! I was in a state of wonder as this seagull had no fear and about one meter away from me. I kept on shooting, low to the ground crouching till it hurt.

Clearly, I had to shift positions but how without scaring this bird away? No problem, just moved slowly, standing and relaxing my leg and feet muscles. This guy and his other friend stayed with me for about 30-45 minutes. Wonderful!

Yet again, camera malfunction has struck! Blur and bokeh ensued, amid a street scene featuring pedestrians, both with and without umbrellas on a rainy, overcast day.

With this level of blur, the only way to guess at details are to seek out the shadowy places--on faces, for example. In the case of the woman under a green umbrella in the foreground, the placement of these facial shadows gives us a (very vague) idea of what she looks like.

For the group six word story.

===================================

Today, New York may have its first snowfall of the season. We're expecting a regional storm, a "Nor'easter" (North-Easterner) which will begin with rain (what else?) and turn into snow--allegedly. Some say we could get four inches of snow...

A lot of people are traveling today because tomorrow, Thursday, is Thanksgiving, a family-oriented national holiday. Snow and travel don't go together very well... (I'm staying in NYC, so I'll just look out my window.)

I'll keep you posted!

Ran into Ziz and Dee at lunchtime on Lonsdale St. Then realised there was some weird-arsed cloudage happening, so had a go at it with a crappycam.

The horizon was blocked by a very huge cloud when we arrived at our shooting location. The civil twilight was really lame and I was really disappointed because it was our last day in Aklan.

I am already taking portraits and travel shots when I noticed that the clouds are starting to break up. As per my experience, there is a great chance of a light show in this kind of condition, so I hurriedly positioned myself and waited for it to happen.

God is good. :)

It was about time I got a shot of this thing in regular daylight.

Not in the habbit of getting up so early, however, I was eager to shoot a sunrise and as fall is upon us sunrise occurs at a much more reasonable time for me. To be honest it was quite exhillirating once you get up/wake up ;).

Please look at EXIF data for details, all of these pics were taken using HITECH 1.2 STD and 0.9 GND SE; Tripod/Wire Trigger as usual.

Have a look at the sign on the wall in the bottom-left corner - the distortion from this lens+converter combo has completely obliterated its details.

This was the first thing I took in this location. We were in a state of panic trying to catch the beautiful light of Saturday's sunrise in Sisiman Bay.

This is a single exposure with 83 seconds shutter speed, f16 aperture, iso200. Used a cpl, an nd400 and a .9 softedge nd grad filter. Enhancements included saturation, vibrance and sharpening done in lightroom and CS5
