This little nodder was one of the first to poke through, all alone and no more than 4" or 10cm tall. This variety are normally a bit bigger than that but not this lonely baby.
I saw myself an intellectual
I thought that I was capable
Every move was just habitual
And life was just a ritual

An Island Hidden in the sky.
As you will walk down the alley the blossom scent will lift you. The soft warm wind will hug you so very gently. The chimes will guide you and the cats? Well the cats will ignore you because they are still cats after all...
Love's the sweetest feeling
Openly believing
No matter what we find there
Come back in through the eyes there
Sole and born creation
The lion's in the house
Flowers are up in the air
Crashing against the dark
A Dark-eyed Junco also known as Snow Birds in our area rests on a snow covered perch as small snowflakes softly fall.
Did you know that Dark-eyed Juncos are found in every province and territory of Canada during the breeding season? Even in the winter, these popular birds can be found in small numbers from British Columbia all the way east to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Dark-eyed Juncos vary geographically in terms of their colouration. The backs and sides of Dark-eyed Juncos can vary from dark grey to reddish/brown depending on the region.
Females are typically smaller than males and are often lighter in color. Juveniles differ markedly from adults with their streaked appearance and brownish plumage.
