...and socialized.

It wore him out. He visited the credit union, Tractor Supply, and several other places.

He charmed everyone.

And then had to take a nap.

"Hey, did you hear the one about..."

He is a rescue hamster, about 7 months old, from a place about 1.5 hours away from us. He is socialized, but scared. He would say that he was rudely scooped out of his home, plopped into a tiny basket, shaken and rattled around for a couple of hours, then plopped into a new hamitat and given strange food. He doesn't know that he has a vet visit in a couple of hours. It is required as part of his adoption, but he also has sticky eyes which will need monitoring. He will sniff us from about an inch away and take sunflower seeds from our fingers, but no more.

His name is Jack Malone.

Eventually, a total of 9 individuals arrived to share their socialization and support at the April monthly luncheon convened by the St. Louis Gender Foundation. While waiting for lunch participants to arrive, Ms. Essay seated herself at the restaurant’s bar near the front entrance door to greet luncheon invitees as they arrived. During that wait, she captured this visually busy selfie.

…at your final destination.

“When the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake,

Spooks come out for a swinging wake!

Happy haunts materialize, and begin to vocalize.

Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize!”

When DJ went to pick up another guest at BART, we decided to play with his abacus art. Mona turned to the "University of YouTube" since none of us could quite remember exactly how to use one.

One of my co-workers generously hosted a BBQ for our team at his place on Friday night. It was a lot of fun to hang out in his lovely home and socialize with my 'best friends at work'! Pudding had fun too! :)

Stelly Riesling: there's a subtle anti-consumerism statement in this work, which is perfect for the holiday shopping craze, so i might as well mention it here. much of what we own is made of plastic that is consumed ravenously, thanks to super cheap labor overseas, so all the digital gadgets are as accessible to the poor as the rich, and both are deceiving themselves in believing their lives have more significance carrying these "mini super computers" and being "connected" at all times to the rest of the world; giving them a false sense of security; filling a massive void of loneliness in their lives and hearts through an unrelenting need to be engaged in constant activity to help escape the horror of reality, i.e. socializing... ironic isn't it. So why are girls allowed to get away with bikinis vs lingerie... i've seen plenty bikinis expose waaaaay more femininity than underwear and bras, and i've seen girls strike poses more scandalous than cute yoga stretches in their bikinis. it's the come-hither look that makes this "adult content" - otherwise she's just a girl showing off her flexibility with the whimsical idea that she hasn't grown out of her infancy when she did the same exact thing shown here. why must artists ALWAYS take the heat for others' dirty minds... by constantly discussing things that bother them in a highly subjective manner, they're part of the problem in making everything wrong and taboo by blowing things out of proportion, actively searching for black cats in dark rooms where they don't exist and actually finding them.i simply had to address an issue that has become a thorn in my side because so many people can't or won't look beyond the 2-dimensional plane to which they're so accustomed in society and media. i wish they would at least try to have a semi-intelligent discussion with me instead of outright attack me or my work.

These young people looked like they were enjoying themselves. The weather was gorgeous and perfect for some socializing. This is at Stewart Park in Ithaca, NY.

My friend's family does such a fabulous job of socializing the kittens. So glad to have them involved. I work far too many hours, and there's no kids around here to help out. My friend homeschools her crew, so they can study out on the enclosed porch with a feline or two on their laps. . .

Elsinore is a beautiful but - shy cats day, right? - shy kitten. Both she and her roomie Tacoma were pleased to get attention and pets, but preferred to stay back in sheltered parts of the kitten cages during the short period of time I was there wielding the camera. I bet she'd fit very comfortably in the crook of your arm, what a little warm package... ahem. As of 7/9/2018 she has gone to foster for a bit more socialization help. She found her new home 4 August 2018.

When I asked to take her picture, she said no -- she wasn't dressed for it. But, I was welcome to photograph the bird.

She explained that she and her husband live in a less-populated area. She had brought the cockatoo into public for a little socialization.

The House Sparrow on the left and female Northern Cardinal seem to be discussing the day's activities.

We were at some rooftop bar enjoying the city.

Be different and think differently sometimes means not fit into the social. And when our social being bumps with our view of things? To what extent the group endangers our happiness? How far are we willing to compromise our principles by? Everyone seems to want to grab and hold a little of your being. When someone tries to steal your individual freedom and submit it to collective imprisonment don’t be afraid to break the chains.

the littlest kitten has been doing this for a while, i didn't know the others would join in (halfway through i realized i left dirty dishes on the top of the cage, that explains it)

A tagged manatee socializes with two other manatees. Except for the bond between a cow and her calf, manatee associations are temporary and fluid. Groups of individuals are not a “family” unit, rather individuals that happen to be at the same place at the same time.
