Aujourd'hui n'est pas un jour tout à fait comme les autres... C'est mon anniversaire ! Il y a un truc qui me ferai particulièrement plaisir; je ne suis pas un grand communiquant, les réseaux sociaux ne sont pas ma "tasse de thé", l'âge sans doute...(un indice : cette année, en astrologie Chinoise, je retrouve mon signe et mon élément de naissance...)J'expose nombre de mes photos sur un site, cela m'a pris beaucoup de temps, il ne s'y passe pas grand chose (très peu de passages); une explosion des visites (toutes proportions gardées) serai un très joli cadeau ! Si vous pouviez partager sans modération ...

Today is not quite a day like any other... It's my birthday! There is something that will make me particularly happy; I'm not a great communicator, social networks are not my "tasse de thé", age probably... (a hint: this year, in Chinese astrology, I find my birth sign and element. ..)I exhibit many of my photos on a site, it took me a lot of time, not much happens there (very few passages); an explosion of visits (all things considered) would be a very nice gift! If you could share without moderation...

One of the kinds of photography that i really love doing a lot is, live concerts.Mainly because it can be a very challenging thing to capture quick motion and movement in low lighting and slow shutter speeds.Secondly you have some ever changing lights and colors.Blue orange,green,white,yellow and what not....and they all keep synchronising as the musicians play ,which kind of can make white balance and metering a very tricky thing and most importantly,my love and passion for music always keeps me engrossed in such photography.
Kryptos was formed around 10 years back and they remain to be one of the biggest acts in India ,while we see many a band from those times gone and disbanded by now.
They released Spiral ascent in 2004 and they signed up with OSM records in 2006 to release Ark of the Gemini in 2008.
These guys are gonna be an opening act for the Iron Maiden concert and will perform in the Rock in India 09 festival.
While we have millions of fans all over the world for Iron Maiden , it would be awesome if you guys ,who do come to the concert, come there and support the indian bands performing there too ,cos i do hear many people tell me that they are gonna come into the venue just around the time when Maiden performing :-)
Kryptos shirts and cds should be up on sale at the fest.
Support the Indian music scene and help them sustain the passion and motivation to take this movement forward people :-)

I spent Christmas vacation in Burma/Myanmar, like I did 15 years ago. At this time, photographiing local fishermen of Lake Inle was a real task, requiring preparation, organization and luck. 15 years later, with the development of mass tourism and social networks, you have plenty of so-called fishermen doing demonstrations every sunset for hords of tourists. I was part of them this time and just tried to get a nice composition
