January in the UK usually brings a smattering of snow and of course a white covering on usually grim buildings and roads seems to lift spirits and create some magicals scenes.
On a trip to Whitchuch Steph and I popped into the Tourist Information Centre where they had an exhibit explaining how the Town was famous for its tower clocks. On the wall was a huge clock face and I snapped the edge of it and used a negative filter in Paint Shop Pro to make it look slightly more interesting.
The amazing heat has driven most living things into their homes before their skin melts. Sunflowers however, as the name suggests, seem to revel in these conditions and even though this flower was hidden in its protective layers earlier this week, today it exploded into life.
My latest little addition..this baby is now my handy cam that I carry around at all times. Guess I'm becoming a Snapaholic.*hehehe
You never really notice pebbles and rocks. I snapped this, trying to get some magical water effect (I now realise I need to read the instruction manual for my camera a lot more thoroughly) but it was the difference in colour of the pebbles and stones that ended up standing out more.
Well, the final one from me in 366. Sorry Sh, just couldn't take it anymore, got fed up with posting junk just for the sake of a picture. Sunday was a photo free day - my name is Steve and I am a recovering snapaholic. I'll still be cheering you on from the sidelines.
The final shot in my 245 project is of Danny Coles, the Exeter City captain, who led us to a 3-0 win on Saturday. Second in the table now! Big thanks to Mark for the lend of the lens.
It seems that the birds have been busy spreading Sunflower seeds and they are beginning to pop up everywhere. This group of two isn't as impressive as the large one I snapped before but I liked the fact that there was a small family growing up together.
Dusk in November is without doubt one of the most spectacular things you can see and its free! On the way home through Cheshire I had to pull the car over and walk into this large field to try and capture the view.
Breathless, we flung us on a windy hill, Laughed in the sun, and kissed the lovely grass. -R.P.
