Just had to put this in. When I was last in Germany, my sister and I went to the Munich Zoo 'Hellabrunn'. The closer we came to the tortoise area, the more people stood in front of it. I realized, it was feeding time. So I positioned myself a little to the left (I don't like big crowds), As I was standing there, the tortoise, started to eat, than, it was like she could see me....and you can see what happened. Couldn't believe this big smile...lol

Just thought I had to show this to you all:)

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.

Thank you for looking in and you kind comments.

Very much appreciated:)

For Smile on Saturday, taken almost a couple of years ago when I actually made an effort to get outside to capture a sunrise. This week I was hoping to be lazy and get a shot from the bedroom window, but no luck, it's been too grey when I have remembered to look out.

learning new things...

I was looking through some pictures that I still want to post from our last trip to Africa in October 2015. I came across this one which put a smile on my face and I hope it does the same for you! This Meerkat looks very pleased with his morning breakfast. Taken just after sunrise in Tswalu Kalahahi, South Africa.

Many thanks for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

This deer was smiling at me!

Oh how I hated doing this. There are so many things I would have done in post-processing to make it look better, but I wasn't allowed to.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)

I’m not a drawer, but hope my bird with feathers makes you smile or even giggle 😂

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I tried this selfie today for Smile on Saturday. :) The tiny camera and the word “SMILE!” are stickers on the mirror used as a reminder to be gentle whenever we look at ourselves. ♡

Anyway, it was late afternoon when I took this, and I was quickly running out of light, which is why the ISO is so high. (I also added a little grain in PP.) I didn’t have enough time to experiment with aperture, so I might try a less blurry version of me another day. :) Thank you for looking! xo

Slender Ringtail Damselfly (Austrolestes analis)

In the garden today. I was actually trying (chasing) to get a shot of the first Blue Ringtail I have seen this season, I failed but this one posed nicely for me.

I am way behind today, I have finally succumbed to the cold that has been going through the family. Thankfully it seems I have a minor dose of it.

I will catch up as I can.
