Thomas Moore, a student at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, was an intern during the summer of 2015 at Hanson Professional Services Inc.'s Springfield, Illinois, headquarters. His internship was through the Grow Our Own Minority Participation Program. His favorite part of the internship was "going out in the field, measuring the slope’s existing and proposed sidewalk with the SmartTool electronic level and comparing the plans to the actual places in real life to get a better understanding of the project."
