Abstract composition with my smartphone, lol. I'd never have thought it had so many layers inside. Prints, canvases and posters available at this link.
I actually drove on it with my car, it was already destroyed, so I decided to destroy it more to make a nice photo... Bye Xperia Z1.
See it on Facebook.

Taken with my smartphone -
Last year I started a personal 365 challenge. I take a picture every day using my smartphone. As I have not much control over settings on my phone camera composition becomes so much more important.
Not all the pics are something to write home about. But occationally I capture one I get excited about. Some of those I will share here every now and then.
I use Snapseed to post process, all done in phone.
I thought I'd try my Samsung Galaxy S7 edge for a bit of streetphotography. It turned out pretty decent. The focus is lightening fast and so making candid shots very easy.
South Beach, Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
I'm getting seriously disillusioned at how smartphones may take away the need for expensive cameras and the labour of love that is photography. Shifting my heavy full frame Nikon up on its shoulder strap, I fumble in my pocket to pull out my many times dropped, totally abused, not the latest model samsung mini smartphone, not caring that the tiny lens is scratched by car keys and coins in my pockets, and smeared in grease from the fish and chips I ate with my hands, to take a quick snap to send to a friend.
Later I compared it to the picture I took of the same scene with the Nikon, and had to admit the hastily grabbed shot with the little Samsung was better, and when touched up in PicMonkey a bit, gave the result you see above.
I hate to think the iphone will make the 'proper' camera extinct, but I can't help thinking that's what's going to happen.
