Our smallest resident butterfly is easily overlooked, partly because of its size and dusky colouring, but partly because it is often confined to small patches of sheltered grassland where its sole foodplant, Kidney Vetch, is found.

A Small White (Pieris rapae), I think(?) on beautiful blue Cornflowers. Butterfly ID corrections always welcome! It's been a relatively wet Summer after a rainy Spring, so our gardens are filled with butterflies, bees, dragonflies and gorgeous flowers. :)
