Measurement

This was my basic idea early on and I went for it this morning. I knew I had a busy day as our lead singer in the blues band has become very ill with cancer, so we had a benefit for him today at our Legion.

A reasonably emotional day on a few levels.

My favourite part of the day was when a bagpipe player got up and wail. Brought tears to my eyes.

We have several "wave" sculptures from artists of beaches we visit. This one is approximately three inches tall. Until I looked at it through my macro lens, I thought it was all blue with clear water drops. I was surprised to see so many colors fired inside.

This being a lens hood of course and a small (get it) play on words look on things. Boy I crack myself up sometimes.

I usually try to see humour in things. Life is too short, for there can be a great deal of sadness in some lives.Not to minimize the troubles that some have. Best to smile and get on with it.

Small Figures

My parents bought me this souvenir the first time I went in Pompeii, when I was 9 yo. My (very) young mind was very impressed by the architecture, the paintings, the statues and so on. Before going away, I firmly asked to buy this souvenir... well... ehm... actually, I asked for a bigger version of this one!!! ;-)

In any case, even if it is very poorly made, I truly love this memory of my childhood.
