Throughout the year, the downtown hosts a number of festive celebrations and special events.

Even during this COVID Summer, business was brisk with lots of customers both local and visitors wearing masks and strolling the streets and visiting shops in small groups. Business owners have adapted well to the new normal and while working diligently to keep everyone's safety a top priority, seem to be adjusting to the new normal for small businesses in a COVID era

Visitors to downtown will find numerous art galleries throughout Baker City’s historic downtown including the Crossroads Carnegie Art center in the restored Carnegie Library building as well as multiple restaurants and a variety of gourmet and artisan food and spirits. We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. These passions, like great winds, have blown us across the globe in search of the one and we do understand the one we do look for might be this picture right here for someone else out there.

We want to thank you for your interest in our work and thanks for visiting our work on Flickr, we do appreciate you and the contributions you make in furthering our interest in photography and on social media in general.

Light is at the heart of our photographs. Understanding the nuances of light’s interaction with the camera is critical to our craft. The temperature, intensity, source of light, ISO, aperture, speed, camera type, lens type, focal length, and filters… the combinations are myriad and multilayered, revealing the beauty in even the darkest of scenes.
