Drown Me Slowly
Audioslave
I've got a will this time don't care what you say
I've got a feeling this will all go away
It's in the wind this time it's in the southern sky
I can't walk on water yet won't even try
[Chorus]
So drown me slowly
Enclose me
Drown me slowly alright
Drown me slowly
Enfold me
Drown me slowly
All that I took with me was a bad taste in my mouth
Went all around the world just couldn't spit it out
Just like ground zero was the surface of the sun
That's a sickness I can't fix it not all at once
[Chorus]
So drown me slowly
Enclose me
Drown me slowly alright
Drown me slowly
Enfold me
Drown me slowly
Water voles occur mainly along well vegetated banks of slow flowing rivers, ditches, dykes and lakes. They are sometimes confused with brown rats which often also live near water courses. Water voles excavate extensive burrow systems into the banks of waterways. These have sleeping/nest chambers at various levels in the steepest parts of the bank and usually have underwater entrances to give the animals a secure route for escape if danger threatens. "Lawns" of closely cropped grass, occasionally with piles of chopped food, may surround burrow entrances. Water voles tend to be active more during the day than at night. Male voles live along about 130 metres of water bank, while females have ranges about 70 metres long.
Today was my oldest son's seventh birthday (on the right, with his best friend), and he had his party at a bowling alley. The blacklight made for a perfect time for my first experiments with slow-sync flash! (Comments and criticisms welcome!)

Gathering moss, this sphere of sandstone is a glacial erratic, rolled in from far away. Our back property line is the edge of a moraine, and this orb is right on the line.

I wonder how much money our city saved with the short sign post. Hmmm

Recently it has always been photo from 'today' at this stream.
Weather God must have been kind. Unlike the hotel God... who must have his hands full with arrival of the likes of Madonnas and Ricky Martins. And consequently, plane-loads of support staff and makeup artists.
Yeah, the World has finally come to notice 'paradise'.
It was all too conspicuous because airport next door was lined up with waiting jets of
superstars from Hollywood. Parking at the International Airport was full, it seems.
There was a party or something at the Maldives Four Seasons.
Along with J Lo, one other item that was on the news was lobster. A star item on the menu. They were however (lobster), nowhere to be found. For some reason... and had to be imported en masse, from nearby countries. Lesson: There is always a price to pay for being too exotic.

There has also been talk about the unavailability of resort rooms. Overbooking and
overpricing has led to much frustration everywhere. And pissed off plans of
ordinary travellers looking for peace and fish. Maybe someone should look beyond the
constraints of the overly restricted resort setting. And open their eyes.
I checked. From this island the price was US$ 20 for rooms and $2 for meals. Average,
mind you! Picky types can always opt out for one of the many up class luxury resorts
with US$ 2,000 per night. Pampering included. That's why they have butlers.
The scene outside though, is the same.
Above: A few hours ago, a few minutes away from my home.
PS. I was born here so I don't pay room rent.
Although marbles may be a little over-used as a subject for Macro Mondays, I thought they would work well for the "Intentional Blur" theme this week. Thanks for taking the time to view my photo - Happy Macro Monday!
After experimentation I used a photo of a very slow colission so you can see the start and rest positions of the orange marble.
