"My face above the water

And my feet can't touch the ground

Touch the ground, and it feels like

I can see the sands on the horizon

Every time you are not around

I'm slowly drifting away (drifting away)

Wave after wave, wave after wave

I'm slowly drifting (drifting away)

And it feels like I'm drowning

Pulling against the stream

Pulling against the wave"

Have a wonderful weekend, folks!

We're too young to drown deep in dirty waters

Full of hopeless doubt, let me pull you out

Let me hold you now, let me slow it down ♡

The speed limit used to be 40 mph on this road. Some motorists

have selective memories and some neighbours make an effort to remind them.

Slowly I turned, and step by step, inch by inch, I walked up to him and I "photographed" him! A line made famous substituting the word "smashed" him, from Abbott & Costello, plus other Vaudeville acts. Yes slowly I moved, in order to get closer while this Heron enjoyed the sunset.

Others watched as I got closer, as they quietly talked about all manner of things. But this fellow just kept looking on, as the colors rose and fell in the sky. However, this is the one that got away. With my finger on the trigger I missed the shot. He yawned, and I missed it. But, this one of his silhouette is not too bad in itself.

Who among us that shoot moody urban photos can resist a ghastly looking parking garage? They're so cinematic that hardly a film made in the city doesn't invariably end up with a dimly lit car park scene for a car chase or shoot-out, or both. Perhaps it's low-hanging fruit for filmmaker and photographer alike, but... As I said, how could I resist? Seen in the Docklands region of central Dublin.

Even though I was just scouting this view at the time, I could not leave here without taking a shot. I envisioned vertical orientation for this scene; however a horizontal composition would include more of the top of the falls. Therefore, I decided to attach my B&W 110 filter, and attempt a long exposure. My intention was to add a surreal effect to this daytime capture, by turning the waterfall into slow motion mist.

A Crested Caracara perched on a fence post along CR 621 in Highlands County, Florida. A Turkey Vulture was perched on the next fence post.

While I was taking pictures, I began to be aware of a cacophony of noise growing louder and louder across the road. When I looked up, there was a huge herd of seemingly angry cows slowly making their way towards me, all mooing. They finally stopped near their barbed wire fence, adults and calves alike, and just stared at me. They must have considered me an invader in their territory. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

Richie B and I had to do a last minute panic location change due to building cloud. I got my pole sorted in a rush but needn't have bothered as the train took ages to get here. Another fortunate cloud break!

Is there anything more iconic than a canoe framed in the blue water, surrounded with trees? When this opportunity presented itself, the chance to capture the situation was absolutely ideal. The colours were in place, and the position of the sun, was just right. It all delivered a terrific story about this place.

A pleasant way to travel in the form of a canoe, and a pleasing background to view.

I can smile and even laugh, and although love has come knocking at my door, still in my soul there is this unfilled void, this lack of you.

So sometimes I slow down, I take the time to breathe, to feel you maybe, and find the strength to go on...
