Playing with the long-exposure mode on the SD400. This was taken around 10pm with a 15 second exposure time.
This was shot with positive film at a very low shutter speed, and printed in photography paper so that the colors would switch to negative. A match is the only source of light here.
i've had my camera for a while now, but i hadn't really played around with it's features, till now. this , this, and practically every light art photo i've ever favorited, have inspired me to read my manual. so yesterday, i learned how to slow the shutter. yayyyy, im glad i did. haha, yes i'm a newbie at all this technical stuff.

Runners in the 2008 London Marathon. The photos were taken just after the 16 mile mark on Westferry road in the Isle of Dogs, in Docklands, East London. At the sharp end, the mens race was won by Martin Lel of Kenya in 2 hours and 5 minutes, while Irina Mikitenko won the womens event in 2 hours 24 minutes.
I thought I'd make the most of the awful weather we've been having recently to get some atmospheric shots around town at night, nearly froze my fingers off mind!
