when I can't sleep (and it is well past midnight), I set up the tripod in the bedroom and play with extended exposure photography.
Just a cold, rainy day here. Feeling kinda blah. I don't mind summer rain, but this cold weather can go away!!
Playing with slow shutter photos today just to do something. LOL
I sat at the edge
of my mind and the river bank
they were not so different
even the shadows and physics
feeling the pressure of movement
against my minds system map
wrapping tightly the sessions
in and out i breathe
5/365
Unintentionally turned this into a 7 part series. I was inspired by one of my favorite photographers, Francesca Woodman. I'm hoping the creativity doesn't lose momentum during this project.
Taken with an iPhone 4S and processed on an iPad 3. Used SlowShutter app, Photoshop Touch, Snapseed, and iWatermark.
Inspired by the Ethereal song by Andy Chatterly & Nerina Pallot.
(One of a few old photos I found on my deviantart that I like enough to move them here)
on friday we went to do some groceries and i was stoked on doing a grocery shot --adding some diversity to 365 --- ---and as you can see from my 365 im a fan of adding some kind of motion to my shots ---just to unstatic the scene ---and it gives it that moving feel --it helps explain my style ---
specs -- This is a Panned photo on a slow shutter --i was at 0.3 of a second and as a took the photo i was following tam walking behind her at the same speed as she was pushing the cart trying to keep a bit of focus on her while blurring everything around her --thats how you pan a photo -start with a slow shutter like 1/4th 1/6th of a second then you try to follow the object (in this photo tam) with you camera moving at the same speed as the object your photographing ---and if you do it right you get a little bit of the photo thats still in focus but the rest has that moving feel -- -----its all about moving the camera at the same speed as the object thats moving ---thats the man part to panning ----
