Slow Shutter for iphone

The exposure times change the characteristics of the the color at times. Yes it was more or less this color but the shine of the water gave it a golden look...

And yes I am aware of my naming conventions... Can't help myself.

京都 東山 圓徳院 北庭

location : Kyoto Entoku-in temple

Entoku-in is a sub-temple of Kodaiji Temple 高台寺 built by Nene,who was well known as Kitano Mandokoro (wife of Toyotomi Hideyosni) to mourn for her husband's death in 1605. Then her Kesho-goten Palace (the dressing palace ) and the front garden of the palace was relocated to the temple from Fushimi Castle ,and served as the residence.

She spent her last year and passed away here...

The garden ( the North Garden) is said to be created by Kentei賢庭who was called "the best rock work expert in Japan" in 400 years ago ,and then many Samurais contributed big stones for making her garden. Later was amended by Kobori Ensyu 小堀遠州.

Espscially the North Gardenis known as a representative Momoyama period Karesansui garden ( dry landscape garden) **which is retaining the original form of Momoyama Style constructed with strong stone foundation , and has been designated a national scenic spot.

( ** properly speaking, a kind of mixed style garden with dry landscape style枯山水 and Chisen-kaiyu style 池泉回遊式(stroll style ) garden )

This temple has an explicit no-tripod policy, so tripods, including monopods, are usually prohibited.

Thank you for your interest and seeing my photo. :)

Loving the Slow Shutter app for iPhone. Interesting format, as well. Highly recommended.

Demouth of Desoto (0974)

Desoto with one eye dangling, hit with red lights during exposure. During an early March weekend, I got together with friends Tim Little, Steve McIntyre, and George Loo, and met a new person named Ash. Some of the nicest people I've met are night photographers, and these guys are no exception. They all understand and love the meditative, very deliberate process of creating night photos while lighting during the exposure and the active creativity that this entails. We explored Pearsonville this winter evening, photographing many of the vintage cars.

~~~~~
I lit the scene with a ProtoMachines LED2 flashlight, walking around while illuminating the car from various angles while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for this long exposure night photo. This approach to night photography was largely pioneered by Troy Paiva.
Nikon D750/Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 lens. 2 minutes f/8 ISO 200, 2 March 2018. Feel free to share.
Our Daily Challenge: March 28, 2021 Primary Subject
I was captivated by the textures and subtle colors of the rushing water...taken below Taughannock Falls, Ithaca, NY, USA. (Falls pics to come)
Independence day, national public and industrial holiday and absolutely not a single person except we 3 blessed photographers around this 60ft+ waterfall. That too somewhere around Lonavala.
Bit different from the falls of Mulashi and Lonavala, where people wait in a Q for their turn to go under the fall :-D
The mist from the hot spring is mixed with the clouds in this photo.
Aug. 8, 2021: Slow shutter exposures of birds at the Rancho Simi Community Park, aka "Duck Pond," in Simi Valley, California.
