Song: "So High" ~ John Legend
Lyrics:
Mmm, ooo
Baby, since the day you came into my life
You made me realize that we were born to fly
You showed me everyday new possibilities
You proved my fantasies, what love could really be
Let's go to a place only lovers go
To a spot that we've never known
To the top of a cloud we're floating away
Ooh, this feels so crazy, how this love is blazing
Baby, we're so high, walking on cloud nine
(You got me up so high)
So high
(My shoes are scraping the sky)
So high
(You got me up so high)
Oh
(My shoes are scraping the sky)
Maybe later we could go up to the moon
Or sail among the stars before the night is through
And when morning comes we'll see the sun is not so far
And we can't get much closer to God than where we are
We'll go to a place only lovers go
To a spot that we've never known
To the top of the clouds we're floating way, yeah
Ooh, this feels so crazy, oh, this love is blazing
And baby, we're so high, walking on cloud nine
(You got me up so high)
So high
(My shoes are scraping the sky)
So high
(You got me up so high)
Oh, yeah
(My shoes are scraping the sky)
Ooh, yeah
Ooh ohh
Hey
Ooh, this feels so crazy, how this love is blazing
Baby, we're so high, walking on cloud nine
You got me up so high
You got me up so high
You got me up so high
My shoes are scraping the sky
You got me up so high
You got me up so high
You got me up so high
My shoes are scraping the sky
Ooh ooh, yeah
Mmm yeah, yeah
This is how love's supposed to be, yeah
This is how, this is how love's supposed to be, yeah
Let's go to the moon baby, ooh
Let's go to the moon baby, yeah
Let's go, go, let's go to the moon, baby
So high

Producer Arranger Bobby Martin is there with Hip Hop Producer Dr. Dre in this photo. Bobby martin is the legendary producer/arranger/composer that produced and arranged all of the top classic soul hits and of all the best R&B old school jams back in the day! Bobby Martins discography of gold and gold platinum recording awards is too long to list in one article, he's produced or recorded nearly everybody! And Dr. Dre is an expert hip hop music producer that's possibly had the greatest success and track record in the music industry as a hip hop and modern R&B producer. We see two legends standing next to one another in this photo, Bobby Martin is there signing autographs for the fans. He was very surprised to see Dr. Dre standing right in front of him. Some people say that Dr. Dre is the Bobby Martin of the 21st century. Dr. Dre is a master producer of his generation, and he's still recognized for being the best hip hop producer in the world amongst younger generations today! Everyone is familiar with the songs that Dr. Dre has produced. Bobby Martin is a legendary Grammy award winning producer and founder of R&B music! He produced and arranged songs like; "Me and Mrs. Jones", "Kiss And Say Goodbye", "If You Don't Know Me By Now", "For The Love Of Money" ("Money" "Money" "Money" "Money"), and literally hundreds of hit songs that all reached the top of the charts. Back in the day Bobby Martin was one of the top soul producers in the world. They once again honored Bobby Martin as being an icon and mentor to so many younger musicians. Producer Bobby Martin even went up on stage and entertained the crowd for a short while! So many Bobby Martin fans commend him for his accomplishments and for giving us all such great songs that give us such happy memories. You have to go back in your mind and try to remember those good old happy days. It seemed like All you would hear on the radio was Bobby Martins music all throughout the 60's, but mainly throughout the 70's and 80's. You can hear samples and new versions of Bobby Martins Music on the radio today. Bobby Martin says that he is still very active in the music business today, he also mentioned in an interview that he'll never stop composing and arranging great music.

Gossip just ended their first leg of their fall US tour date, in support of their recent album A Joyful Noise, at their last night's appearance at the Fine Line Café in Minneapolis.
Opening up was Bonnie Montgomery, a country singer from Arkansas. She started her brief set with "Zydeco," a b-side from her forthcoming Cruel EP.
Highlight of her set was a cover of Kitty Wells' "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," which Beth Ditto from Gossip made a special appearance.
Montgomery ended her set with a cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues," which Gossip's bassist Chris Dutton joined on tambourine.
While country music seems like an odd choice, I felt Portland's Magic Mouth's bassy funk (or as they like to call it, "phunk") was a good fit for Gossip's music.
I didn't know their songs, most of them felt like they were cover songs, like their slowjam cover of Pet Shop Boys' "West End Girls." I know for sure they did "Speak Softly," but that song isn't on their Believer EP. I guess it didn't really matter, because with the heavy bass and funk beats it got everyone dancing.
It's been six years since Olympia's Gossip came through town. The fans nearby either flew in or drove long distances to see Gossip at the tiny Fine Line Café in Minneapolis. I love that sort of fan dedication, and I know for sure singer Beth Ditto really appreciate that, having her thank them time and time again on stage.
The first thing you should know about Ditto, is that she has an amazing voice. Even though she was feeling a little under the weather, she was still belting out these electrifying notes.
The majority of their songs were understandably from A Joyful Noise ("Move In The Right Direction", "Melody Emergency", "Get A Job", "Casualties Of War", "Perfect World", "Get Lost", "Into The Wild"), and rounding out the rest of their set were basically from the synthy Music For Men album ("8th Wonder", "Four Letter Word", "Men In Love", and the set closer "Heavy Cross").
Still, despite the lack of old songs, there was still plenty of music to get excited about. For instance, Gossip often threw in brief cover songs medley into their original songs. How amazing was it hearing Bikini Kill's "Rebel Girl" medley in "8th Wonder" or Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" with "Listen Up!"?
There were three songs for the encore. The latter two was a cover of Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It" with Magic Mouth's singer Stephfon singing along on stage, and "Standing in the Way of Control", the title track from their breakthrough 2006 album.
Gossip is starting up their second leg of their tour, in support of their A Joyful Noise album, out now via Columbia Records.

I feel like Im too old for my age.
Its weird cause growing up people saw me as this kid who liked hip hop, so all the factors that associates with hip hop was labeled into me. From being rude, a bad example and wearing XXL size clothing…..Well I do admit that I did wear big clothes back then but that’s it. I was never the kind of person that said bad words, got into trouble or such nor a student that got bad grades. What people don’t know is even though I loved hip hop back then, I was also into Rnb/slowjams (my number one genre) and alternative rock, basically all music types (just check out my playlist in my stream). I guess the hip hop showed more of me, because I’ve always had the urban-ish style from my clothes to my art. Im a DJ, so I guess that played a big roll in that.
Now that I’m in my early 20’s, I’m just this old guy who doesn’t party, drink or smoke any kind of anything, I don’t even say any kind of bad words at all. There are times when my classmates and teacher would talk about good liquor and what combined drinks are well mixed together and I’m just there clueless about the topic. I guess I make my mom proud, but at times I feel like I don’t fit in with the people in my age group. At times, I asked myself if I’m missing out or is it just not my cup of tea. Well I know if I try those *fun* things I wont be myself and I wont have fun doing it. I guess, I go through these question at times cause I feel so different from my peers. It makes me feel like I’m the party pooper, “the person that doesn’t know how to have fun.” “Someone that’s too up tight and always serious.” Ughhh I hate feeling that. I never quite understood looking forward on weekends by drinking and not remembering why you had fun. If anything I loved storing memories of the good times. I'm also not a big fan of going to clubs, grindin' with some stranger. A lot of men out there just gives us guys bad rep. Men please take care of your Girl and ladies please respect yourself more. I guess thats what having a sister taught me....oops going off topic. Even though I don’t do the typical college student *things* I don’t get bored because my mind is always into the art, design, and music. I also think a lot about sports, like fantasy leagues and such. hehe
I guess now im just a loser who doesn’t go to bars, clubs or parties. I’m more of a lets chill and go around town taking pictures. Gathering friends and have a nice home cooked meal while watching a movie. Taking mini trips and just being random itself.

I was heading into the bank and this small man playing Obama slowjams followed me in. He's part of a group that helps promote Obama with music they write. His name is plump and he explained it :"PLUMP, you know like YOU!" then he tried making that better by calling me Oprah and saying I would rule the world one day.

Giant Robot is proud to host a "Choegal" release party attended by artist David Choe.
Raised on comic books, affected by street art, and inspired by crime, women, and music, Choe has developed a unique and restless style that is effortless yet meticulous and focused yet dirty. Since the artist contributed his first illustration to Giant Robot magazine in 1997, he has exhibited in solo shows around the world (at all three Giant Robot galleries as well as in Paris, Tokyo, and London) and also been featured on VBS-TV's popular Thumbs Up! series. Choegal is his first wood figure: extremely detailed, totally hand painted, and featuring a head that rotates to expose three facial expressions. This piece is strictly limited to 1,000 pieces and $45.
From 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, December 23, Choe will be on hand to sign Choegal figures, as well as the brand new issue of Giant Robot. In addition to writing his regular column, he provided cover art and design elements found throughout the magazine.
