Money raised goes to helping me pay for private specialist medical care for a severe immune damaging disease I have, MECFS, outside the coverage of public medical care.

MECFS is akin to liver/kidney failure in severity. The body becomes severely unable to defend against disease and harmful matter, as essential immune functions are damaged.

A 2016 USA MECFS Mortality study found a median 17 year life expectancy reduction amongst MECFS afflicted.

MECFS research and treatments exist, but hasn't reached public medical health. Almost exclusively, the only medical care is via private medical specialists.

East London. Photograph taken using my mobile phone which has a simple shutter. The effect of the slowly moving train makes the resulting image slant, similar to Lartigue's famous photo of the racing car.

slitscan of 3d cubes randomly rotating in 3d space. not my idea, i stole it from someone, somewhere, but the code is all new and a mix of php, povray, bash, ImageMagick, and lots of processor

slit scan camera

A complete free-source digital slit scanner by Neil Jenkins in less than a page of processing code. Referenced in An Informal Catalogue of Slit-Scan Video Artworks compiled by Golan Levin.

November 2005

Slitscan experiment. A single column of pixels from the middle of every frame of a pop video all stitched together again afterwards. Method was basically mplayer -vo png (to extract frames) and a tiny php script (was 100 times faster when i started using mplayer -vf crop to extract the single columns). Warning, these are very wide.

(um, full size is not available, should be 5985x576)

Inspired by these by "don relyea":

which is the same method applied to raytraced images. Which, in turn, remind me of later Briget Riley - flickr.com/photos/hragvartanian/1927253080/

This one is Papercuts by Broadcast and is probably the most coherent of the 5 i did due to relative lack of cutting.

Trying out a spinning pano camera. I think it needs a little work...

A slitscan picture taken during a tram ride around the famous Ringstraße in Vienna/Austria.

The tram came to a halt therefore the background is only stripes but the vehicles continue to move past the tram.
