Trying to solve the "banana peel" equation ...apparatus for measuring the "slipping hazard" on floors and walking surfaces for the American Standards Committee in formulating a walking safety code. The machine shown in the photograph with Dr. Roy B. Hunter rubs the walking surface and then measures the slippage.
