Right before a meeting at Rackspace to discuss Luminaria 2012, C-A Lucas was among the three young spirits who took the new slide down, eschewing the elevator. This photo was taken by Janet Holliday, President and CEO of the CE Group (cegroupinc.net/)
Found slide in Perutz home-frame. Slightly over-exposed photo of footballers. Lots of marks on the original slide.
Log Slide-Located about 7 miles west of Grand Marais on Alger County Road H-58, then almost 1 mile north on Log Slide Road. Legend has it that logs sent down the dry log chute would generate enough friction to cause the chute to catch fire. Today the chute is gone, but the lumberjack stories still linger as you gaze out over the Grand Sable Banks and Dunes. This is a good place to glimpse the Au Sable Light Station to the west and the Grand Sable Banks and Grand Marais to the east.
The embossed logo on the leather case of the Post Versalog. Someday I'd like to get this case restored and cleaned up, and use the slide rule as a costume piece at conventions. ("You want steampunk? I'm carrying a 60-year-old mobile analog computer.")
#2 Amanda Borden of West High school breaks the tie with Horseheads as she slides into home giving Corning West the lead in the top of the fifth inning. Corning could not hold onto the lead, as Horseheads would tie the game in the bottom of the seventh and win the game in the eighth 8-7.
This is Jullian. Isn't he so cute?
I was messin' with my camera today outside with the kids. Jullian happened to be near me at the time so I caught a shot of him before he fell down the slide.
These slides were taken by my father during his tour of duty in the Vietnam war. I am not sure where or what year. The titles show when the slides were processed and I believe the date to be accurate since he sent home slides regularly.

Found Kodachrome slide dated July 1974. Unlabelled, but looks like the Roman Baths at Bath (although I believe that there are also Roman Baths at York).
Thief take my kids slide off my front yard. I can't believe the few people around did not say anything. I got a call from a concerned neighbor that saw what happen and could not stop it. The slide was out for my kids to play while I shoveled the street and sidewalk.
