If you thought dreadlocks can't be made with the sleek Saran hair... you're wrong! It just requires a lot of patience and a massive heap of tiny curls first. Here's how I'm making these tiny dreadlocks...
After doing the curls I take a small section of hair and divide it in two. I 'break' the curls by backcombing them, and then I twist the two strands individually in the same direction first and then twist them in the other direction around each other, and they lock in this position. It may help at this point to give the hair a hot water treatment, but I don't find it necessary. I open the hair twists and get two dreadlocks. I take a few individual hairs from the dread to tie them around the dread and make it harder and more secure. There will be some individual hair knots and broken hair as you can see here, but they will be easy to tuck inside the dread with a needle, or they can be just cut off.
This head is currenctly in all three phases: curls, twists and dreads. I'm going to leave a few small curls hanging randomly around the head, so that it will look like the dreadlocks were handmade, kind of like accidentally if you don't comb your hair. That's how I believe Layne made his dreadlocks, because it doesn't look like all-dreads in any of his pictures. So I'm happy with this method and will continue treating the whole head this way, but now I'm off to start repainting the face. ;-)

Springstone is a very hard and finely textured Serpentine rock with a high iron content. It polishes to a high shine because of its density.
Not every Vic Viper was a sleek starfighter. The design proved to be highly adaptable and was used for a wide variety of spacecraft. One of the more unusual examples is shown in this archive photo, working at Blwch Mawr Container Port.
These little VVs buzzed around the port like busy bees. They were mainly used for lifting containers off the storage racks and onto lorries. The lorries were highly manoeuvrable, having spheres instead of discs for wheels. This allowed them to roll sideways as well as forwards and backwards and turning.

Once the most modern, "sleekest" looking, and fastest shinkansen in Japan, the 500 Series' days on the rails are dwindling.
Introduced in 1996, the literal bullet shaped train was the pinnacle of speed. With a top speed of 320kph (199mph in American), these where the worlds fastest bullet trains before the TGV took the lead in 2001. These 500 Series operated on the Nozomi Shinkansen services between Tokyo and Hakata, the fastest service offered on JR Central and West between the two cities.
Nowadays, they are relegated to the stopping services (Kodama) between Osaka and Hakata, including one "Hello Kitty" Shinkansen. Unlike their 700 Series counterparts, their 2-2 seating arrangement and tubular design make it a somewhat cramped ride. They are planned to be replaced by the N700 Series by 2027. Despite their limited use, catching one is always a great treat.
