That's right THE ICHI-BAN of SL EVENTS is back and in Championship form as it nears the end of the first week......what am I so excited about? NEO JAPAN man!!! Is your head under a mesh rock?
I said mesh..
Six months seemed like a year. It's finally midway through my twice a year dose, the ONE, TWO PUNCH of my two favorite events THE ENGINE ROOM and NEO JAPAN, where all my favorite sl creators , these fantastic, superlative artists, with imaginations that hold their own against the imaginations of any others in any genre or realm of artistic endeavor, they all come to the dance and showcase their goods and often debut some of their latest master works, and no smoke blowin', straight up, I don't know how they do it, but they all keep upping their respective games and outdoing themselves, I tell you NO LIE. And being the whatzitz that I have been my whole life, well yep that creativity and talent excites me.
After a month of the Engine Room and almost a week of Neo Japan, I am haulin' a few virtual trailer loads of awesome new goodies, new masterpieces from the crème' de la crème, and of course those labors of love, those wonderous expressions provide so much more than just being awestruck, for they inspire and provoke so many others, those of us so inclined...and they become the sparks that start so many separate fires and fuel them, they become tools, building blocks, paints, brushes, a script, etc., etc., , yes the means by which so many others can in turn create artistic expressions and works of their own. It's beautiful.
For that gain, that opportunity, it's not only worth it, but in fact a pleasure to pump a little money into the sl economy and even more than that a privilege to in some small way reward and thank these awesome artists for what they provide. To go along with that they have my undying appreciation and my respect. They have earned it in spades.
So in the next few weeks, you'll be hearing even more about this stuff from me, and seeing even more than you hear. All of you of whom I have waxed upon have inspired me in a time when I didn't think it was possible. Gracias for that,

The music was loud enough to feel in my chest before I even stepped inside.
Not the kind of loud that drowns you out but the kind that pulls something honest out of you. The bass hummed through the walls, through the floor, through me, like it already knew every version of myself I’d tried to bury.
I leaned back against the speakers, letting the warmth of the lights wrap around my skin. Everything here felt electric. Alive. Like this was the one place I didn’t have to pretend I was softer than I really was.
The camera rested in my hand, cool and familiar, like an extension of myself. I didn’t lift it to hide. I didn’t lift it to capture anything.
I held it because it reminded me that I control what gets seen.
Not every moment belongs to the world. Some things exist just for me. The quiet confidence. The way I hold myself when no one’s asking me to. The version of me that doesn’t apologize for taking up space.
I’ve always existed somewhere between chaos and control.
Between wanting to be held… and wanting to be the reason someone forgets how to breathe.
There’s power in that space.
Power in knowing exactly who you are, even when the world tries to rename you. Power in choosing how much of yourself people are allowed to see. The softness. The danger. The invitation.
The lights wrapped around me like a spotlight I never asked for but never ran from either. In that moment, I wasn’t hiding. I wasn’t shrinking.
I was exactly what I was meant to be.
Unapologetic. Unfiltered. Mine.
And maybe that’s the real secret.
Not becoming someone new…
But finally letting yourself exist without permission.
