We picked the hottest day of the year to run the stairs of the Wells Fargo building (the second highest) in downtown Los Angeles with no air-conditioning. After 55 stories (1,320 stairs) we still had the energy to jump around on the helicopter pad. I can't imagine how the firefighters run the stairs in full gear!
Wish you all a very Happy New Year with my first post of 2012 :)
Like this skyscraper, May you all reach new heights in life, be blessed with lots of success and happiness.
And all my best wishes to those too who have started their Project 52/ Project 365. It requires a lot of courage and passion to bring out something new every day.
Last year was a terrific learning experience for me. I still remember Jan 06, 2011 when I first joined Flickr with little knowledge about photography and passion to excel in my hobby with my first camera bought during Christmas 2010. And today, I complete one year........Gawsh!!!!time flies. But what an year!!!!......learnt so much and I think I have tried to present a variety.
Let's see what this year has to offer me and what I have to offer this year. One thing is for sure, my passion would definitely keep me going.
Hope you keep enjoying and supporting my passion like you have always :)
these were huge!! if you ever get the chance to run over mushrooms with a lawnmower, do it. trust me.

This shot looks like some kind of 'cut and paste' photomontage but it's actually a straight shot featuring two sides of the 'Cheesegrater' and another adjacent skyscraper.

From Wikipedia : "122 Leadenhall Street, also known as the Leadenhall Building, is a skyscraper in London that is 225 metres (738 ft) tall. It opened in July 2014 and was designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners; it is known informally as The Cheesegrater because of its distinctive wedge shape similar to that of the kitchen utensil with the same name. It is one of a number of tall buildings recently completed or under construction in the City of London financial district, including 20 Fenchurch Street, The Pinnacle, and The Scalpel.
The site is adjacent to the Lloyd's Building, also designed by Rogers, which is the current home of the insurance market Lloyd's of London. Until 2007 the Leadenhall site was occupied by a building owned by British Land and designed by Gollins Melvin Ward Partnership, which was constructed in the 1960s. That building was demolished in preparation for redevelopment of the site. By December 2009, the site was cleared but construction had stalled. The project, initially delayed due to the financial crisis, was revived in October 2010 and Oxford Properties has co-developed the property in partnership with British Land."
