Found this guy basking in the sun while movers packed up dad's house. He let me take a picture and then skuttled off.

I guess cannons on boats are called guns. And a skuttle bucket (slang term for gossip) was basically the watering hole where everyone gossips.

This little fella landed in our garden. Seemed he wasn't keen on flying away, he skuttled into our bushes, and by the time I had a box to recover him he had disappeared. Hope he survives. On a plus note, it means that they have bred in the trees behind our house, and maybe its a second brood.
