The San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado are the largest mountain range in the state and contain some of the highest and most jagged summits in the continental United States. They also receive the highest snowfall levels in the state due to moisture blown in from the Pacific Ocean. The annual snowfall at Wolf Creek Pass (elevation 10,850 feet) averages about 400 inches (10 m) and sometimes exceeds 600 inches (15 m).

While everybody else is uploading wonderful spring photos, I have here late cold winter scenes... lol

Blasting his way down Zagava at Taos Ski Valley.

I didn't know what to upload today. There are already so many images with meaningful and encouraging titles and messages, I couldn't really add anything new. So I am not even trying.

This picture here is REALLY old, 11 years. The quality is shockingly bad, I am quite embarrassed about that but I could never get myself to discard it because the light was so beautiful. So please forgive and try to just enjoy the sliver of light.

Sunny afternoon. Dragobrat - Ukrainian ski resort.

The tram at Snowbird ski resort near Salt Lake City, Utah ascends quickly carrying eager skiers for some early season runs. There was a little blurring of the tram car because of the relative speed as we passed so I decided to emphasize the motion with added blur in PS.

Merry X'mas! and I wish to all Great Holidays!

This picture was taken during my latest short vacation at Ukrainian ski resort - Bukovel.

During the winter season it's likely the best option to go to ski is Austria (choosing from the places for skiing in Europe). Lech maybe one of the more expensive places for skiing in this country, but isn't it lovely there ?

Something different...a zoomed view of an inviting destination.

Alyeska Resort is a ski resort in Girdwood, Alaska, approximately 27 miles (44 km) from the city of Anchorage. With an average annual snowfall of 650 inches with 2,500 vertical feet of diverse terrain it is Alaska's premier skiing destination. And all around spectacular area to hike, bike and enjoy.

A couple other images of the view from up high in comments.

Sean is by far one of the most athletic skiers I've worked with. With a racing background, he can just lay out his turns like they are nothing.

"VILLAGE WITH A VIBE

From the moment you arrive in Whistler Village, nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, it’s apparent that this is a resort village unlike any other you’ve ever experienced.

Yes, the rumors are true: it’s absolutely massive, but in a way you’re going to really love. With its endless array of shops, cafés and bars, restaurants and legendary aprés nightlife, the pedestrian-only Village is a destination unto itself, a one-of-a-kind confluence of two massive mountains, unique to North America, with an energy and style that are the envy of resorts around the world.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely stroll along its stone walkways, some people-watching from its countless sunny patios, exploring the fun-filled family playgrounds, or launching your next on-mountain adventure, Whistler Village delivers a recipe of winter magic that simply can’t be matched." www.whistlerblackcomb.com/explore-the-resort/the-village/...
