The Tower Of London has a huge collection of arsm and armour, and I highly recommend a visit if you get the opportunity.
I spent the whole day there.
When I first saw this, I thought there had been a problem in the panel beating department.
My learned attendant advised me that over the recent centuries, first impressions were everything, and many things were designed for impact and that all important good impression.
Whether it was the size of your castle, or the size of your throne, or the size of your . . . . . . . . . armour, it mattered.
I imagine this suit of armour would have weighed a hefty amount, and the person inside it would have been a fit and strong person not to be meddled with.
Apparently one size fits all, and seen in the Tower of London.
