I never seen any jumbo size of fruits and vegetable...but I found it at the market in Tomohon, North Sulawesi. Probably because of the land there was surrounded by many active volcanoes which made the land was totally fertile for any plants ! and the taste of the vegetable also sweet and tasty ! North Sulawesi culinary were extremely unique and delicious ...^___^

Thanks for the views, comments, faves ^___^

Large

sizing! Why oh why is it impossible for manufacturers of women's clothes to standardise the sizes?

Having a little rant!

OK so I am not small by any standards being a UK size 16 dress and 14 skirt.

But just lately one job I buy from I have gone from a 16 to an 18.

The above dress I have had some time and is a size 14. as you can see it fits ok even a little lose maybe.

The black dress I wore the other day for the modett photo is a size 16 and is a little tight! Another dress I brought at the same time from the same company in the same size didn't fit at all GGRRRRR.

No women get grumpy when they shop.

Rant over I feel so much happier now :-)

If their four beautiful children don't prove that he loves her, mom 'SSD' writes she's pregnant with number five!

Some members have commented that I've made it look like plus-size women are all lonely. Thanks to members for contributing these happy family scenes!

There are significant size differences between salamander species which fill different niches in the same general habitat.

In the mixed temperate forests of Western New York, A. maculatum lives primarily under ground or beneath heavy cover, feeding on earthworms, slugs, and large grubs inhabiting the soil. It is the largest terrestrial salamander in the region.

D. ochrophaeus, a much smaller species, is more active at or near the surface, beneath light cover at the edges of streams and seeps where smaller invertebrate prey are plentiful in and out of the water.

For the Mud!

Yey - I got to Skomer on a very sunny BH Monday, the puffins were just fab :0). Made sure I was at St Martin's Haven by 8.00am, there is a new booking system and the boats get full VERY quickly. Not as many puffins on the Wick as last year but apparently we'd missed them - there were loads at 7.00am! Still, I managed to get some shots so I was well happy. Now I have to catch up on everyone's streams - it may take me some time!!

Touched down in Monterey and finally back on the water! Lots of wildlife to see today; humpbacks, seals, sea lions, risso's dolphins and plenty of birdlife.

Here's a cool moment from this morning. A sealion porpoising to get out of the way of a diving humpback (the common murres don't seem to bothered). I think this gives a pretty good sense of just how big these guys really are!

Paul Boudreau (www.flickr.com/photos/41474913@N05/ ) asked for a full-size image to examine against my claim of the ability to get quite good results from the kit lense. I scale th eimages I edit from RAW/NEF source files to 9000x6000 to produce a result that will print 20x30 inches with no further processing. That is why It is so large. My final prep is done at 6000x4000 which corresponds to the camera's native output. Keep in mind that this image has undergone a significant amount of PP. I stand by my assertion that it will print quite nicely at about 15.6x30 inhes. This illustrates what you can get from the 'lowly' kit lense with good technique to bring out their full potential. - JW

Although we don't like to admit it, guys compare sizes!

It doesn't matter what it is and we all know it. Car engines, model trains, garden hoses, it doesn't matter and we all know it. Guys compare sizes and bigger is always better.

In this case it's one of the valves from the ships engine that these fellows were sizing up. Just looking at this I can imagine the thoughts these fellows are having....

#1. "Yeah that's just like my valve, nice and straight".

#2. "I remember when my valve was that big".

#3. "My valve is only this big but it still works great"!

#4. "Hope my valve still works when I get to your age".

A contest that has gone on since the beginning and has no sign of ever stopping.

I actually got to have a nice conversation with one of the engineers about the ship's propulsion and my Navy experiences. I tried to wrangle a trip down to the engineroom control but unfortunately got denied. Security reasons don't you know...

The different departments on the ship put items on display in the atrium, highlighting the best features of their department. There were displays from engineering, medical, catering, housekeeping, etc. Gives the passengers an opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes and shows exactly what it takes to keep the ship running shipshape.

For those in the Show Your EXIF group you should note that the actual lens used is a Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II VC All-in-One Zoom for Canon APS-C Digital SLR. It's a well known issue and for some crazy reason it always shows up as a Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8, a lens I've never owned or used!

So I went out over the weekend with Mr.Battle and Dabe to shoot a wedding.

Upon learning that Dabe was 6'6" and me being 5'5" I knew we had to get a picture together.

Yes, this is us actually standing next to each other. The only thing I did was crop it a little.

A little fuzzy autumn picture

…or, actually, it doesn’t. Especially when you’re thrifting. I bought this sweater and skirt on the same day at the same store, but they’re from different eras. The sweater (vintage) is an 8 and the skirt (modern) is a 0. Totally ridiculous.

Sweater, R and K Knits (vintage and thrifted). Skirt, The Limited (thrifted). Boots, Vince Camuto. Furry collar, gift. Jacket, H&M (thrifted). Socks, Sock Dreams. Necklace, Urban Outfitters.

I appreciate it when thrift stores organize clothing by size, but I try to be mindful of the vagaries of sizing. I usually browse the sections outside of my size range and I don’t allow a number to scare me off from at least trying on a possible garment.

For macro Mondays theme, "Clothing".
