The sixth month of the year, so six promises ....
I promise to try to listen and love compassionately
Take time to savour the delights of nature
To laugh more and see the lighter nature in humanity
To take risks creatively
Take time to count my blessings and give thanks
Strive to create Heaven on Earth in my garden and anywhere else if at all possible

Some of the oldest buildings in Austin can be found in the Sixth Street Historic District, a.k.a. Old Sixth Street and Dirty 6th, that runs east from Lavaca St. (2 blocks west of Congress Ave.) to I-35. While the Sixth St. entertainment district extends well past Congress Ave. to the west, and I-35 to the east, it is the historic section known for its clubs, bars, live music, restaurants, and 19th century architecture that made Austin the "Live Music Capital of the World."
This beautiful circa 1875 building, now home of the Friends Bar, one of Sixth Streets live music venues, is located at 208 E. 6th St. The Sixth Street Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
This is the original version.
You can use your imagination to guess what is it, and tomorrow I will give you the answer :D
Wish you have an exciting weekend@

Underneath the 6th street bridge leading out to the Los Angeles Aqueduct (Viaduct) which unites the Boyle Heights community to the east and the Arts District and Downtown (DTLA) to the west.
Erected in 1932, the 6th Street Viaduct Bridge became an icon, winding up in movies such as Terminator, The Mask, Repo Man, SWAT, Grease, Armed and Dangerous, Batman, and many others. It has also been featured in numerous music videos (Madonna, INXS, Bruno Mars, Kanye West) and television shows. You will even see it if you play Grand Theft Auto. In 1986, this Hollywood icon was entered on the National Register of Historic Places.
Despite its historical status, the bridge was closed for demolition and replacement last month due to concerns over seismic instability. Demolition began just 5 days ago (5 days after this photo was taken).
And here is the future of the bridge:
Got this LE shot of Sixth Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh at the blue hour. Tried to capture the light trails from the traffic and the old architecture from the buildings in this shot.
Shot in Agra, India

The Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad Marietta Turn crosses the former CSX/B&O St Louis Main bridge over the Ohio River, headed from Belpre, Ohio back into Parkersburg, West Virginia, less than a mile from the High Yard.
this is new , because in this moc instead of building it in my usual way that is complex , in this case I had the ' idea of making a simpler but at the same time dasse a certain effect ..
the name derives from the sixth element of the periodic table which is carbon , and in fact its armor is made of carbon , I have chosen the carbon because it is a fairly light material so as to move more quickly , but at the same time is also resistant so it will better absorb the blows .
This is a serene golden hour aerial view of Austin's skyline, gently reflected in the calm waters of Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir of the Colorado River. Auditorium Shores is the park on the south side of the lake. The park is a major recreational area, the site of major music performances at South by Southwest (SXSW), and several other events.
The Union Pacific Railroad Bridge (a.k.a. Austin Graffiti Train Bridge), a testament to Austin's rich history, is on the lower left. At the edge of the river's north shore is the Seaholm Intake Facility, a historic landmark, and just north, with its tall smokestacks, is the turbine generator building, now repurposed as apartments.
Block 185 (a.k.a. Google Building), The Independent, Sixth and Guadalupe, and The Austonian are among the skyscrapers in this view.
Austin is the 10th largest city in the United States and the fourth largest in Texas.
Less than a mile from the Logan depot, the Cache Valley Local rolls northward along Sixth West street through an industrial park.
At this location, the right of way (or is it fright of way?) flips to the east side of the two lane road, making passage a bit of a nail biter for the engineer and conductor. Flashing lights would certainly help.

Yesterday at lunch time, as the snow came steadily down, I snapped a quick shot of Sixth Ave here in Manhattan.
Laura was kind enough to humor me and hold the umbrella as I waited for the right moment to snap the shutter - and before all those taxis ran us down!
Nope, we ain't in Saint Lucia anymore!
