I took this shot before the concert began.

I was fortunate to attend a very enjoyable concert by vocalist,Smt.Nithyashree Mahadevan .The concert was held in the auspices of Ragapriya Chamber MusicClub, Madurai.

The accompanists also happened to be great masters in their fields.---

Mrudangist -Sri I. Sivakumar; Kanjira player --Alathur Sri. Rajaganesh and violinist--Sri.A.Krishnasamy.

Smt.Nithyasree gives her concert here almost every year . I have been attending them mostly and I find her prowess is more and more admirable over the years.

In this concert I was most impressed with her 'alapana' in Kalyani preceding the kriti 'Ethavuna'.

This full-scale mural is a community-based Public Art project commissioned by the City of Markham, led by blowtorch performance artist James Ruddle and completed in collaboration with students and alumni from various Markham high schools; Amy Wu, Ben Baker, Vivan Chen, Quinn Ellul, Sarah Raboth, Vithunan Sivakumar, Tiffany Yang, and Pei Ying.

The mural shows Thornhill through a progression/transition from the natural to the urban. While the paintings on the the north face of the bridge embankment are a collection promoting the history of our “Great Northern Landscape”, this landscape image is reminiscent of the works of the Group of Seven, for whom J.E.H. MacDonald’s home in Thornhill was a popular meeting place.

Recently my Friend has taken this tandoori chicken click at Restaurant with continuous 21 tries. Finally he had taken perfect picture and send it me....I just thought to upload in Flickr..

I. Sivakumar : mridangam
