Greetings.
We are the Sith Shadow Council of Texas (SSCOT).
SSCOT is a non-profit Star Wars fan and costuming group based in San Antonio, TX. We participate at a variety of events to include charity events, public events, conventions, parades and parties. In addition, we have dueling/sparring events and practices weekly. We also enjoy attending Cons to raise money for charities while entertaining guests.
We love dressing up as various Star Wars characters and interacting with patrons while taking pictures with them. Let us know of any charity/event/convention which can utilize our services. If you also need our group to help out with a panel on dueling/trooping/costuming or a saber demonstration, please let us know. We would be happy to accommodate this and any other request.
The panels we offer are presentations with open discussion and demonstrations as needed. Topics we cover include sabers (characteristics and means of acquisition), dueling (various techniques/styles/demos), trooping basics (things to consider and planning before performing at events), costuming basics (common materials, techniques and sources for star wars universe costume creation/acquisition), Star Wars and Disney (the merger, possible pros/cons, the future), episode VII (what can we expect, what do we expect, when can we expect it, what additionally can come of it), charities/events (how we support charity operations/organizations and the process involved in planning/attending events).
We can cram much of that into an hour or two, but if you need to fill more panel slots, we would be happy to fill in any empty ones as needed by breaking our panel into subpanels.
