Villa Giulia è un giardino pubblico di Palermo, sito sul confine del quartiere Kalsa, tra via Lincoln e il Foro Italico, e adiacente all'Orto botanico cittadino.
Realizzato per iniziativa del Pretore e Governatore della città Antonio La Grua tra il 1777 ed il 1778, prese il nome da Giulia d'Avalos, moglie dell'allora viceré Marcantonio Colonna.
Il progetto della villa fu realizzato dall'architetto Nicolò Palma che disegnò un verde pubblico con un perimetro perfettamente quadrato, suddiviso a sua volta in quattro quadrati suddivisi dalle loro diagonali; lo spazio centrale, di forma circolare è abbellito da quattro esedre progettate da Giuseppe Damiani Almeyda in stile pompeiano.

Clun Castle sits high on a natural rocky mound in a loop of the river Clun, on the edge of the small, picturesque town of the same name. Founded shortly after the Norman Conquest to demonstrate the authority of the English monarchy over this part of the border region, the castle and the nearby settlement prospered in the 13th century thanks to the management of the Fitzalan family, but suffered a number of attacks from across the Welsh border. It was used as a hunting lodge in the 14th century, but was increasingly neglected, and by 1539 the castle was reported as ruinous.

Back to the lone tree at Findon in Sussex, the sun gave a nice display and lit up the Buttercups on the side of the hill.
Lockhouse 25 sits along the C&O Canal tow path, 31 miles from Georgetown on the Potomac River. We spent Wednesday night here, which is essentially indoor camping, since there are no amenities. A great way to experience the past!

Stronachlachar sits on the western end of Loch Katrine where you can also find the famous Pier Cafe, and just off shore is the “Factor’s Island” or (Eileen Dharag) where Rob Roy MacGregor imprisoned the Duke of Montrose’s Factor or rent collector after a long running dispute with the Duke. The large house on the right is “Lochside House” which can be rented, it has the most stunning, tranquil setting right on the edge of Loch Katrine in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This whole area is walking, running, birdwatching country for anyone loving the great outdoors.
When this outfit from CandyDoll was posted on Flickr I knew I had to have it, and it’s as gorgeous as I hoped it would be. Just beware though, it’s advertised as a dress but it’s VERY short (!), so either wear it with some jeans or invest in a discrete pair of panties to wear underneath 😊
No sit-in here,but there have been several in Union Square in the past.Historically,most marches,sit-ins,and protests have been on the northern end of the intersection.
