The use of different materials, including bed bases, mattresses, metal, stone, wood, and finding it in the middle of nowhere made it even more unique, a most surprising find!
Yes, I know there are two of them, three rly (good number, no?). I mean as a star, a sun, something so bright you have to squint - and mebbe go blind.
Note: Please be advised I will not be held liable for retinal damage due to staring too long into this sun.
A pre-sunrise long exposure at Fifty Point Conservation area in Grimsby Ontario. The star was added in post with Topaz Star Effects, because i like bending the pixels & just can't help myself :)

AAW December 9 - 16: All About the Light
WIT: I used a flash to for an attempt at water drop photography. Set the camera on a tripod, flash on camera, and had a tray of water with coloured papers behind to reflect different colours. Coordinating drops (from an eyedropper) with the shutter was most difficult, and took many many tries before I got some results I could live with. In post, just cropped and adjusted the contrast and colours.
One single long exposure. No photoedition : straight out of the camera except for contrast/crop.

On Oct 02 a singular Common Redpoll showed up in my yard. It was gone the next day. On Nov 02 another Common Redpoll showed up and stayed most of the day then disappeared. On Nov 20 this Redpoll shows up, stays for a minute while I was out photographing other birds and I have not seen it since. Calm before the storm? Hope so :).
