A recommendation from the Gilded Palace of Sin is enough to bring me out on a cold Monday night to see an unknown to me singer-songwriter from Minnesota. Mr Weaver certainly gave me plenty of practice to test my New Year's resolution to listen more closely to lyrics, which feature highly in his songs.
He also played for a surprisingly long time, leading one woman to collapse at the back during his encore. Whether it was his passionate singing or the increasing heat of the room was unclear.

Yesterday, I went to a concert. The concert is not a large production, but is probably my favourite concert this year.
緣於六月份的一次旅遊，民宿的小幫手播放著一些我並不認識的音樂。在那慢活的環境，那些歌曲格外讓人放鬆自在。離開前，我特意去找了那一張剛出版的CD帶回香港。
半年後，這位台灣的創作女歌手來香港舉辦她的首個個人音樂會。地點是一個小劇場。兩個小時的音樂會，沒有高潮，沒有華麗的舞台與商業原素。有的是歌手的真摯歌聲與自然隨性的交流。一曲曲的生活小品，舒服的音樂，讓人輕鬆，愉快，感動。
