This is Laura Story, a Christian singer/songwriter. I met her on December 11, 2011. But since she let me take her portrait without knowing who I was, I'm counting this as a stranger portrait.
She's so lovely and down to earth. I enjoyed talking to her and getting a glimpse of her heart, which belongs so wholly to God.

This year I started to reach out to people whom I've admired for a long time and ask if I could take their portrait.
Jennifer Kimball is a singer/songwriter who was a member of the band "The Story" in the early 1990's. She was in "The Story" with another singer I just recently photographed, Jonatha Brooke.
I'm not sure how it worked out that I was able to photograph both of them in the same week. It was amazing.
Jennifer is working with another musician I've worked with in the past. When I learned of this connection, I reached out to that mutual friend and asked if he thought Jennifer might be receptive if I reached out to her.
So I did.
She said yes.
She spent the day with me at the studio. We took things organically. I got to just play around, which is always refreshing.
I started the session very nervous, and ended the session with a new friend.
I was able to meet and work with Jennifer through the power of photography. It's amazing.
